APQC is hosting our first ever Generations of Pride potluck & gathering on Sunday, August 9th, from 1pm - 4pm!

Come and enjoy delicious food, fun games, misting tents, story time from a multi-generational group of q***rs, and the chance to build community! We ask that you bring a dish that serves 10+, and that you please RSVP. Link in our bio/Linktree or use the QR code.

Sandy Creek Park, at picnic shelter #4. Nearest parking is lot #11. Hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie meat options, and buns will be provided. First 50 people free (day-of, courtesy APQC) $2 per person after to enter Sandy Creek Park.

Thanks to the generosity of the Widespread Panic and R.E.M. offices, we’ve assembled a collection of rare and unique memorabilia from two of Athens’ most influential and beloved bands, to be sold in an online, silent auction. Featured items include a signed Widespread Panic poster, a Green World Tour program signed by all four original members of R.E.M., and curated collections of R.E.M. memorabilia and apparel.

Every bid helps support the work of Athens Pride & Q***r Collective, a volunteer-led nonprofit dedicated to building community, celebrating LGBTQ+, funding gender-affirming care, and creating inclusive events and programs.

Whether you’re a lifelong collector, a music fan, or simply someone who loves Athens, we hope you’ll join us in celebrating the artists, history, and community that make this city special.

2026 Gender-Affirming Care Grant applications close TOMORROW! This program exists to reduce the financial barriers that often delay or prevent individuals from accessing procedures that are essential to their health, safety, and well-being.

Since launching the program, APQC has awarded over $50,000 directly to community members in need. These grants help cover costs related to surgical procedures that insurance may not fully support — or may not cover at all.

The grant is open to any resident of Georgia who is seeking a specific gender-affirming procedure. Visit the link in our bio to learn more and apply.
