Thank you to Piedmont Newton Piedmont Healthcare for inviting The Cancer Foundation to be part of the first annual Cancer Survivor Celebration.

We were honored to share information about our programs and resources with survivors, families, caregivers, and community partners. We are also deeply grateful for the opportunity our Executive Director Joey Tripp to serve as a guest speaker and share part of his own cancer journey.

Events like this remind us that survivorship is not only about what someone has endured. It is also about resilience, hope, support, and the opportunity for survivors to become thrivers. The Cancer Foundation is proud to stand alongside individuals and families impacted by cancer and to help alleviate some of the financial burden that can come with treatment.

Thank you again to Piedmont Newton for creating such a meaningful and uplifting celebration for cancer survivors.

The first Mahjong That Matters took place on April 19th. And what a success it was! Thanks to Dwell Real Estate, Classic City Mahj, and Oak House Distillery, we raised enough to fund five full grants, providing $1,000 each to cancer patients in need. What an unforgettable Athens Rock Lobsters Stick It to Cancer Hockey Game! With a sold-out crowd, a sold-out Chuck a Puck, and a record-breaking highest jersey auction bid, the night was a tremendous show of community support.
