DC Zinefest

Directions Website Contact the organization

The DC Zinefest is an annual celebration of independent publishing, held in the nation's capital. community.

The DC Zinefest is an independent event organized to provide a space for zine makers, self-published artists and writers to share their work with each other and the Washington D.C. We hope to support a community that is based in do-it-yourself practices and ethics through providing the opportunity to expo, workshop, and hang out with zines. If we don’t do it ourselves, no one will do it for us.

❣️When you get to the Fest, drop off your zines at our table with your payment info.
❣️At the end of the day, cash out!
❣️No advance notice or application needed.
❣️Please price your zines between $1-I0.
❣️Only drop off 1-2 different zines, but you can bring multiple copies of each

DC Zinefest Anti-AI Policy! The essence of zines is doing it yourself–creating unique, personal works by hand. Incorporating AI-generated art and text goes against our ethos. AI-generated work is not eligible for DC Zinefest, and those who sell or exhibit it will have their work removed from the Fest immediately and may be barred from participating in future Fests.
