Arvada Chorale We are a true community chorus in the heart of Arvada that welcomes singers of all ages and abilities.

Singing for 40+ years, music brought us together but our spirit keeps us together
Like, Follow, & subscribe to our newsletter to stay in touch! The Chorale offers an annual concert series and performs at special events throughout the Denver area. In recent years we have collaborated with community orchestras and chamber quartets; a cappella, bluegrass, Irish, brass and jazz ensembles; assisted living residents and high school students. We seek to show young musicians that you can sing all your life! Diversity, equity and inclusion are interdependent components of the Arvada Chorale’s community of artists. Our aim is to foster an environment where every singer feels valued, supported, and inspired to achieve individual and common goals. This includes providing opportunity and access for all people across differences of race, age, color, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, religion, national origin, migratory status, disability/abilities, political affiliation, veteran status, and socioeconomic background. The Arvada Chorale receives funding in support of its mission from several granting organizations, including the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District, the Arvada Vitality Alliance and Colorado Creative Industries.

🎶 We’re taking choir on the road!🏔️ ❤️

We’re packing our bags and heading to the YMCA of the Rockies for our annual retreat! A weekend of singing, laughter, and community. Some of our singers will even be bringing their families and four-legged friends along for the fun! 🐾

We’ll gather for the “World’s Largest Potluck” 🍽️, make plenty of music, spend time getting to know each other, and end up around the karaoke machine (aka Chappell on the piano) at some point. 🎤

It’ll be a weekend about more than rehearsals and music. It’ll be about connecting, making memories, and celebrating the people who make our choir community so special.

We can’t wait to spend the weekend together! 🎶 🏔️

Do you have pictures from last year?? share them below!

The stages of John at rehearsal: 🥹➡️💃➡️😤➡️🤦‍♂️➡️😂

When the sound is almost there… and then it’s not. 😂 Shake it off, try again, get lovingly roasted, repeat.

All in a day’s work with our favorite animated maestro. Nothing but love, John! ❤️🎶

To sing is to be human!

“People are so inhibited about their voices these days,” says Rachel Dempsey, founder of Singing for Change. “They’re so full of shame because someone once told them they can’t sing. But really, it’s denying people their human right – to sing with others.”

🌿🎄 Did you know?

The Holly and the Ivy has a history that goes far beyond Christmas!

Both holly and ivy stay green through the darkest months of winter, making them powerful symbols of life, hope, and the return of spring in older European winter traditions.

Over time, these ancient seasonal traditions became intertwined with Christian Christmas celebrations, and "The Holly and the Ivy" developed into the familiar English carol we know today.

So when we sing it, we’re singing a little piece of history that brings together ancient winter traditions, English folk music, and Christmas storytelling. 🎶

And this season, you’ll hear "The Holly and the Ivy" as part of our A Celtic Christmas concert on December 5 & 6!

🎄 Come hear the music, discover the stories behind it, and celebrate the season with us.

🎶Music Tip Tuesday!🎶 Who else thought learning music was just like magic? 🎩 Well the truth is it takes actual effort and practice, just like learning a new language!

This week, the amazing Shana Swain is here to break it down for you - major scales, semitones, half steps, whole steps, and how they all connect to keys and key signatures. It's like music math, but way more fun! 🎉

Check it out:

🎶 Soloist auditions are underway! 🎶

Our singers are auditioning for solos in our upcoming A Celtic Christmas concert - written & composed by our very own Dr. Chappell Kingsland and apparently the auditions need to come with a side of Duolingo. 😂🌍

Many of the solos are in Welsh, Gaelic, and French, so our members are not only preparing to sing beautifully, but also brushing up on some new languages along the way!

Wish our singers luck as they step up and audition! 🎤❤️

We can’t wait to see who will be bringing these beautiful pieces to life on December 5 & 6 here in Arvada.
