What if your spare change could help change a family's day? ❤️

It can.

There is an incredibly simple way to support Hope Connection and Community while doing the shopping you're already doing: ROUND UP!

When you register HCC as your charity of choice, you can round your purchase up to the nearest dollar and that spare change is donated directly to support our work.

Your total is $23.78?
Round up to $24.00 and 22¢ goes to HCC.

Twenty-two cents may not feel like much but that's the power of community.

A few cents becomes a few dollars. A few dollars multiplied by hundreds of people becomes groceries on our pantry shelves, diapers for a baby, clothing for a child, and help for a family who needs someone in their corner.

Pennies add up. Small acts add up. People add up.

And when all of us do a little, HCC can do a whole lot. ❤️

Our backpack stuffing was made possible by this amazing group of volunteers.
We want to thank Walmart Supercenter Arvada - Ralston Rd and their team for always showing up for HCC through grants and volunteering! Also, to Perry and Amara for joining in the backpack stuffing fun.
Because of this team, our backpacks are loaded with basic school supplies and ready to go to their new homes very soon!

We love our volunteers 🩵

We have a community crisis on our hands—but together, we have the power to change it. ❤️🩸

When a local youth in our community learned about the critical blood shortage, they didn't wait for someone else to act.

They stepped up.

That kind of courage and compassion is exactly how Hope Connection and Community began. One person saw a need, chose to help, and that single act of kindness grew into an organization that now serves thousands of our neighbors every year.

Change always begins with someone willing to say, "I'll help."

Now it's our turn.

Our local blood supply is at a critical shortage, and every donation has the power to save lives. Behind every unit of blood is a child, a parent, a friend, or a neighbor waiting for a second chance.

Join HCC Founder Julia Walker (O+ Blood Type) and members of the HCC family by making an appointment to donate.

One hour of your time could give someone their life back.

Because the life you save won't just be someone's loved one...

One day, it could be yours.

Let's show our community what happens when ordinary people choose to do extraordinary things.

❤️ Make your appointment.
❤️ Donate blood.
❤️ Share this post and help us spread the word.

Together, we can turn a shortage into hope.

Our volunteers come in all ages.
Today we had 3 kiddos helping pick out backpacks for our Hope for Kids program. We know the importance of learning to give, not just receive and our tiny helpers learned that valuable lesson today.
One kiddo said “It’s so cool we get to help other kids. I know if I needed help, I’d hope someone like HCC was out there willing to do so.”

These backpacks 🎒 were made possible by one special donor who sent gift cards and said “Now go buy some backpacks!”

It takes a village and we have the best. Thank you.

Our program is closed for requests. We received an overwhelming response for this resource that we had to close requests after only 12 hours of opening.

We will not respond to messages inquiring about forms or adding more children to the program.
We are fighting to help as many kids as we can. We are feeling the heartache of knowing we will not reach every child that needs us. This is a heavy weight to bear so, we appreciate your grace and patience as we work to get acceptances sent next week.
If you do not receive an email acceptance from us next week, by August 9th, we regret to say, we did not have enough slots this year.

We are still accepting sponsorships. We have over 100 kids on the waiting list who would appreciate your generosity. Simply visit our website and make a donation. Your support will change the school year for a deserving child.

❤️ Before you keep scrolling... give us just a few minutes.

Today, we are incredibly honored to share our newest Hope Connection and Community Annual Impact Video.

Every year, our story is brought to life through the extraordinary work of Chris and Mountain Media Production Co.

Chris invests countless hours following Hope Connection and Community throughout the year—capturing the quiet moments no one else sees, the powerful stories behind our programs, and the lives forever changed because a community chose compassion over indifference.

Chris captures the joy of a child receiving new school clothes, the relief on a parent's face after receiving groceries, the laughter of volunteers serving together, and the countless moments that remind us of what is possible when a community comes together with love.

Because of Mountain Media Production Co., we're able to share not only what we do—but why we do it.

This video represents every volunteer who has given their time, every donor who has given from their heart, every community partner who has stood beside us, every family who has trusted us during difficult seasons, and every member of the HCC team who continues to show up with compassion, courage, and unwavering hope.

💙 Today, we're asking three simple things:

▶️ Watch the video.
❤️ Share it with someone who believes in strengthening our community.
🤝 If you're able, make a donation to help us continue serving local families facing food insecurity, financial hardship, and unexpected crises.

Every view helps tell our story.

Every share helps us reach someone new.

Every donation helps another family find hope.

Finally, please help us celebrate and thank Chris and Mountain Media Production Co. His incredible talent, generosity, and heart have helped us tell stories that inspire thousands of people to believe in the power of kindness, community, and hope.

To our volunteers, donors, community partners, families, and supporters...

Thank you for believing in Hope Connection and Community.

📚 Hope for Kids is Back — Celebrating 6 Years of Giving Children the Start They Deserve. ❤️

Six years ago, we took a leap of faith.

In 2021, Hope Connection and Community hosted our very first Hope for Kids Back to School Program, serving just 25 children. We dreamed of making sure every child walked into their classroom with confidence, dignity, and the excitement that every student deserves to feel on the first day of school.

We had no idea that one small idea would grow into a program that has now served hundreds of local children over the past six years.

That growth didn't happen because of us alone.

It happened because of you.

It happened because our community believes that children deserve more than just school supplies. They deserve clothes that fit. Shoes they are proud to wear. A backpack they can't wait to carry. They deserve the confidence that comes from knowing they belong just like everyone else.

Every backpack donated.
Every sponsorship given.
Every volunteer.
Every encouraging word.

Together, you have changed the beginning of the school year for hundreds of children.

This year, however, our hearts are carrying a different weight.

For the first time since this program began, we have lost all of the grant funding that once helped make Hope for Kids possible. This year's program is being funded entirely by private donations from our community.

The reality has been heartbreaking.

We've had to make reductions we never imagined making. We've had to face conversations no nonprofit ever wants to have—asking ourselves how many children we can realistically say "yes" to when we know so many more will need us.

Those decisions have been emotionally devastating.

But if these last six years have taught us anything, it's that hope is built one person at a time.

So we will keep showing up.

We'll keep fighting for every child we can serve.

We'll keep believing that this community will continue to wrap its arms around local families the way it always has.

Because that's what hope looks like.

💙 Request Forms Are Officially Open!
This program is restricted to Jefferson County residents only.

Families living in Jefferson County may submit requests through July 31st or until we reach request capacity—whichever comes first.

As we enter this year's program, we ask for your grace as we navigate one of the most difficult funding seasons our organization has ever experienced. We may not be able to serve as many children as we have in years past, but every child we are able to help will receive the same love, dignity, and care that has always defined Hope for Kids.

And if you're wondering how you can help...

🎒 Donate a brand-new backpack.
Drop off at La Patisserie Francaise or our HCC House in our donation shed on site.

👕 Sponsor a child with new school clothes.
Visit our website to make a monetary donation.

Every backpack donated is one less child worrying about showing up prepared.

Every child sponsorship means one more child can be accepted into our program.

For that child, your generosity means more than new clothes or school supplies.

It means confidence.

It means belonging.

It means walking into school with their head held high instead of wondering if they'll fit in.

If you've ever wanted to change a child's life in a tangible way, this is your opportunity.

Together, let's make sure as many children as possible begin this school year knowing their community believes in them.

Because every child deserves to start the school year with hope. ❤️

The response to our outreach has been incredible.
Within a few hours of sharing our school supply wish list, every item was purchased and donated.
We’ve added a few more things we need since but that was a first for us. Thank you.
We appreciate the school supplies and they will truly help a lot of kids.

We still need your help. We need sponsors for backpacks and for kids school clothes.
New backpacks 🎒 are desperately needed.
Sponsors for kids to go shopping are greatly needed.
However you can help, we would appreciate it.
If you’d like to host a backpack drive or want to sponsor some kids for school clothes, please reach out to us.
Let’s make this school year special for some very deserving kids.

🎒 No child should have to choose between fitting in and simply getting through the school day.

Imagine standing in front of your closet on the first day of school knowing your clothes no longer fit. Your shoes pinch your feet with every step. Your backpack is torn. You don't have the supplies your classmates do.

Now imagine walking into that classroom carrying the weight of embarrassment before the first bell has even rung.

For too many children in our community, this isn't imagination. It's reality.

At Hope Connection and Community, our Hope for Kids Back-to-School Program does more than hand out school supplies.

❤️ We give children dignity.
❤️ We give them confidence.
❤️ We remind them they matter.

Every child in our program receives a brand-new backpack, school supplies, and one of the most special parts of the experience—a personal shopping trip where they get to choose brand-new school clothes that actually fit them. It's a moment that changes far more than a wardrobe. It changes how a child walks into school on that very first day.

This year, our hearts are heavy.

Due to the loss of grant funding, fewer donations, and rising costs, we've had to reduce our goal from last year. Instead of serving over 250 children, we are only able to commit to serving 100 children—a heartbreaking 60% reduction.

But we are not giving up.

We are going to fight for every single child we can.

This is where we need our community.

💙 Sponsor a child for $150 and give them the opportunity to shop for new school clothes and start the year with confidence instead of insecurity.
Simply visit our website at hopeconnectioncommunity.org.
Scroll to the bottom of our home page and send your sponsorship through our donation button on our website.

🎒 If sponsoring a child isn't possible right now, you can still make an incredible impact by purchasing school supplies from our Amazon Wish List. Every backpack, every notebook, every box of crayons, every pack of pencils brings us one step closer to preparing another child for success.

Please don't underestimate the power of what you can give.

Because to a child...

A backpack isn't just a backpack.
A new outfit isn't just new clothes.
A pair of shoes isn't just footwear.

It's confidence.
It's belonging.
It's hope.

Together, we can remind 100 children that they are seen, valued, and worthy of walking into school with their heads held high.

If you've ever wondered whether one person can make a difference...

This is your moment.

💙 Sponsor a child.

Every dollar matters.
Every donation matters.
Every child matters.

🎥 Some of the most extraordinary people never ask to be in the spotlight.

They're the ones standing quietly behind the scenes, lifting others up, telling their stories, celebrating their victories, and making sure someone else's light shines just a little brighter.

Last night, it was our turn to shine that light back.

It was our incredible honor to present the 2026 Hope, Connection and Community, Community Champion Award to Chris Woodley of Mountain Media Production Co.

For the past four years, Chris has been far more than a videographer to Hope Connection and Community.

He has been a storyteller.

A volunteer.

A sponsor.

A partner.

A friend.

What began as a simple interview for an award HCC was receiving quickly grew into something much bigger—a partnership rooted in heart, purpose, and a shared belief that every family's story deserves to be seen.

If you've ever watched one of our videos and found yourself smiling, crying, inspired, or reminded why this work matters, you've experienced Chris's gift.

He doesn't just record moments. He captures hope. He captures resilience. He captures humanity.

And because of that, thousands of people have been able to see the mission of Hope, Connection and Community through a lens of authenticity, dignity, and love.

But this award isn't about the incredible videos he creates.

It's about the incredible man behind the camera.

Chris Woodley is the kind of person every community hopes to have.

He gives without being asked.

He serves without expecting recognition.

He quietly invests his time, his talent, and his heart into making others successful.

When there's work to be done, Chris is one of the first to ask, "How can I help?"

And when Hope, Connection and Community has dreamed a little bigger, Chris has always been right beside us, helping turn those dreams into something people could see, feel, and believe in.

So how do you honor someone whose life's work has been telling everyone else's story?

You tell theirs.

Creating this surprise tribute video reminded us just how much work goes into every production Chris creates. The planning, the travel, the interviews, the countless hours of editing, and the incredible talent required to weave together a story that moves people—it is truly an art.

For one night, we wanted Chris to experience what he has so generously given to so many others.

To be seen.

To be celebrated.

To be thanked.

Chris, thank you for believing in Hope Connection and Community long before many others did.

Thank you for investing in our future.

Thank you for helping us tell stories that have inspired volunteers, donors, partners, and families throughout our community.

Most of all, thank you for leading with humility, kindness, and a servant's heart.

This recognition is more than deserved.

From everyone at Hope Connection and Community, congratulations on being named our 2026 Community Champion.

Today, we invite our HCC family to help us celebrate Chris.

👇 Leave a congratulations in the comments, share a memory if you've worked with him, or simply thank him for the countless ways he has strengthened our community.

Because every once in a while...

The person behind the camera deserves to be center stage. 💛
