Sunday is a Saturday decision.

Nobody drifts into the room. You decide the night before. Clothes out, coffee set, alarm on. Then Sunday shows up different.

Here is a reason to decide early this week. This Sunday, August 30, Valor becomes a two-service church. Two services, same family: 8:30 and 10:30. Pick the one that fits your house, and know your seat just made room for somebody walking in for the first time.

You will want to say you were in the room.

Jesus prayed a prayer God did not grant. "Father, remove this cup."

If that prayer had been answered, there would be no cross. No resurrection or forgiveness of sins. Sometimes the silence is not abandonment. Sometimes the silence is right before the empty tomb. So keep knocking and don't give up - the resurrection is soon.

My father died when I was five. Years later I found my half brother on Facebook and sent him a long message. I came back a week later to see if he'd read it - he blocked me. It crushed me, but almost instantly the Lord said, "I'm protecting you."

Prayer isn't a performance. It's personal.

One verse held the whole morning on Sunday. John 15:7. "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you want and it will be done for you."

Three walls keep most of us from praying. I don't know what to say. I can't hear Him. I prayed and heard nothing.

Jesus takes them down one clause at a time.

Reach for Him. Learn His ways. Bring it again.

And we got to unveil where year three is headed: Here We Remain. The series starts September 13.

Save slide 4 and try it tomorrow morning. One psalm. One line. Before you reach for your phone, reach for Him.

Sunday is a Saturday decision. Nobody arrives in the room Sunday by accident - you decide the night before. Decide now you'll be with us tomorrow. So get the clothes laid out, coffee set, alarm on.

What you'll experience tomorrow is we will unveil Here We Remain, the theme carrying Valor through year three. It's a Sunday you should plan tonight to attend - see you tomorrow at 10am.

Sharing Jesus costs you something: You become the Jesus guy or gal and filed away as the weird religious one. That is a real cost these days.
But there is a greater one.What if the person you never said anything to never hears it again? Faith comes from hearing (Romans 10:17). No hearing, no faith. No faith, no salvation. And no salvation, separation from God forever. Their eternity is a bigger cost than your embarrassment.

The most courageous thing Jesus is asking you to do this week is not sell everything and move to Thailand. It is smaller than that and sometimes harder.
It is walking across the room to the person you already know is struggling.

Not with a strategy or script - just with your presence and one sentence, "I am here for you. Jesus changed my life. How can I pray for you?"

That is the whole move. So who will walk across the room for this week?

Witness starts where your feet already are. Acts 1:8 says we will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on us, and we will be His witnesses. Not a strategy or strategy.

Your feet take you somewhere and point you to someone who needs Jesus. Your feet hold up a testimony: living proof that the gospel saves. And boldness is not teeth in your words. It is saying something and trusting God with it. You do the sharing. God does the saving.

Look down, and wherever your feet go this week, that is your mission field. Walk across the room and say something because someone is waiting for you.

A quarter of the bones in your body are in your feet. 26 bones and 33 joints in each foot. They're not reinforcement so shoes fit better, they're your means for balance and walking. Vital pieces of your anatomy, and you ignore the whole system until it hurts.

Sunday we asked why God built you that way. Your feet actually carry you somewhere. They hold you up when you get there. And they put
you in front of something that needs you. That is the mission. Not a plane ticket or a personality type.

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the
earth." Acts 1:8

Nobody is asking you to win the argument. A witness only testifies to what he
actually saw. That is the whole testimony, and you already have it.

Tomorrow morning was decided tonight. The alarm you set, the clothes you laid out, the yes you already gave. Drift doesn't announce itself. It just fills your Saturday night with reasons.

"And let us consider one another in order to provoke love and good works, not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other." Hebrews 10:24-25a

Somebody in that room needs to see you tomorrow. Decide now.
