If you’ll be attending this weekend, Colin Ferro and Denny Williams would love to connect.

We welcome all discussion for collaboration opportunities with fellow non-profits and industry partners. Learn more about our in-person programs supporting specific cancer types, communities of need, or general support. We also have programs in which we bring the support right to the patient within the cancer treatment walls with the Campfires of Hope podcast as well as ThriveVR.

We look forward to the continued discussions and brainstorming with new partners.

🚒 Epic Experience Firefighter Cancer Survivorship Camp
📍 Gypsum, Colorado
📅 July 29 – August 4, 2026

Epic Experience and the Firefighter Cancer Support Network (FCSN) are partnering to host a weeklong outdoor survivorship camp for firefighters and first responders who are navigating or have completed cancer treatment.

This unique program is designed to help survivors reconnect with community, confidence, resilience, and life beyond diagnosis — alongside others who understand the journey firsthand.

Firefighters face a significantly increased cancer risk due to repeated occupational exposures. According to FCSN, firefighters have a:
▪️ 9% higher risk of being diagnosed with cancer
▪️ 14% higher risk of dying from cancer compared to the general population.

As survivorship continues to become a larger part of cancer care, programs like this provide critical emotional, physical, and peer-supported recovery beyond treatment alone.

Do you know a firefighter impacted by cancer?
Please tag them, comment below, or share this post to help us spread awareness and connect survivors to this opportunity.

“What one could not do alone, 15 could do together.” 🫶

Our inaugural Thriving Together program last month brought survivors together for connection, support, and shared adventure — and the impact continues long after the weekend ends.

“We all supported and lifted each other up in such beautiful ways... I now have an amazing group to reach out to for support and motivation anytime.”
– Smiles 😃

This is what it means to thrive together.
