After 47 years of service, it's hard to imagine the YMCA of the Fox Cities without Sue Pawlowski.
Sue's journey began as a towel folder at the Neenah-Menasha YMCA and grew into a remarkable career that touched nearly every corner of our organization. Along the way, she served as a Growth & Development Teacher, AOA Director, Marketing & Membership Director, and many roles in between. Today, she ends her YMCA career as the Executive Vice President of Mission and Brand Advancement.
Sue helped shape the YMCA of the Fox Cities as we know it today, including playing a pivotal role in the merger of the Appleton YMCA and Neenah-Menasha YMCA that united our communities, and supporting major capital campaigns that brought new branches and expanded opportunities across our region.
While her career was built at the YMCA of the Fox Cities, her impact extends far beyond our association. Her leadership, relationships, and commitment to the YMCA mission have helped strengthen the greater Y movement and inspired countless people throughout her 47-year career.
But Sue's greatest legacy isn't found in buildings, campaigns, or titles. It's found in people.
Sue has an unmatched ability to build relationships, lift people up, and make everyone feel seen. Her positivity is contagious. Her energy is endless. And her commitment to our mission has inspired generations of staff, members, volunteers, and community leaders.
Today, we celebrate not only Sue's career, but the countless lives she has impacted along the way.
Thank you, Sue, for 47 incredible years of leadership, friendship, and service. The YMCA will continue to thrive because of the foundation you've helped build.
Congratulations on your retirement. There truly is no one quite like you.
