Junior Achievement is the world’s largest organization dedicated to providing young people with the skills and confidence to own their economic future and contribute to the economic viability of their families, communities, and country. Junior Achievement's programs - in the core pathways of career readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy - ignite the spark in young people to experience and realize the opportunities and realities of tomorrow’s workplace. Over the past 5 years, the nine area offices of Junior Achievement of Wisconsin have used a dedicated core of more than 8,000 volunteer mentors to serve an average of 141,000 students per year. This month, we're proud to spotlight Bergstrom Automotive, a dedicated partner of the Junior Achievement Experiential Learning Center since joining our Biz Park community in January 2020.

Through their interactive storefront, Bergstrom Automotive introduces students to the many exciting career paths available in today's automotive industry. From Sales Advisors and Service Consultants to Marketing, IT, Human Resources, Accounting, Executive Leadership, and skilled technicians, students discover that growth opportunities at Bergstrom are truly limitless.

When exploring the storefront students will experience an interactive technician simulator and work on the engine of a car. They will use specialized tools and interact with different parts of an engine to tackle the mechanical challenges in a highly engaging environment. They will also work in the parts department and sell merchandise. Additionally, students will appraise a preowned vehicle and lease a fleet truck or van to the other businesses in Biz Park. In this storefront, there is also a visual of the shop, retail showroom and work uniforms/attire for students to try on and begin their work!

Bergstrom's goal is to spark curiosity and show students that the modern automotive industry is innovative, high-tech, and full of diverse opportunities for their future.

This month, we're proud to spotlight Jackie Johnson, a dedicated member of the Junior Achievement of Wisconsin Northeast Region Board. Since first becoming involved as a volunteer and later joining the Board in 2022, Jackie has witnessed the impact JA has on students across our region.

Here's what Jackie had to say about her experience with JA:

“My journey with Junior Achievement of Wisconsin Northeast Region began as a volunteer, and I’ve been honored to serve on the Board since 2022. I was drawn to JA because of its unique and tangible impact on young minds. It has been incredibly rewarding to see firsthand how JA inspires and empowers students through hands-on learning. From the classroom to the Experiential Learning Center, these programs help young people gain confidence, develop practical life skills, and develop the financial literacy they will need to thrive in the future.”

Tailgate Trivia was a touchdown!

A huge congratulations to all of our trivia participants who brought their A-game, their team spirit, and plenty of laughs. From impressive trivia knowledge to some unforgettable staff shenanigans, the competition was fierce and the fun was nonstop!

Help us welcome Payton Schiff to JA of Wisconsin! 🎉

Payton joins us November 2 as our new Director of Human Resources, supporting the people who bring our mission to life across Wisconsin.

He brings seven years of experience leading HR at Davidoff of Geneva USA. He also served as a military combat medic and trained more than 1,000 soldiers—an experience that helped shape his commitment to supporting others.

We’re excited to have Payton on our team as we help young people build the skills and confidence to shape their futures.

What an incredible evening at our Tailgate Trivia event last Thursday! From the friendly competition to the excitement of our basket raffles, the night was filled with fun, laughter, and community spirit.
