Justin Kausch Memorial Scholarship at St. Norbert College

The Justin Kausch Memorial Scholarship was founded in 2011 by Justin’s parents and close friends f Our current awardee is Zach Seidl. Zach is a senior at St.

This scholarship recognizes students who embody the same spirit that Justin did; those that encourage teamwork, value strong friendships, and truly live the Norbertine ideal of Communio: mutual esteem, trust, sincerity, faith and responsibility. Recipients are chosen by Justin’s parents and friends, and the financial assistance is provided over and above any other financial aid package provided by

the College. Christopher Doran was the first recipient of the award in Fall 2011. Norbert majoring in Business Administration. With your outstanding support, we have been able to establish an endowment fund. As a result, each year a minimum of $1000 will be awarded to one or more students at St. Norbert College. With time, the value of the award and the number of recipients will grow.

Congratulations to Adam Lifka from Naperville, IL! Adam will be a senior next year, majoring in Business Administration. He is involved with Campus Ministries, St. Frassati Catholic Men's Group, as an SNC Tour Guide, and is an avid outdoorsman.

Congratulations to Tais Pereira Avelar from Sao Paolo, Brazil! She just completed her freshman year at SNC studying economics, sociology, and pre-law. She is very involved on campus, including through Untouchables, the Honors Program, as Treasurer in the Latine Student Union, as Treasurer in the Philosophy Club, Pen Pals, Law Club, TRIPS leader, as a SNC Times writer, OXFAM, Progressive Student Association, and the Economics Society.

We are very excited to announce the 2025 Justin C. Kausch Memorial Scholarship winners: Nikolas Loduha, Derek Hottenstein, and Shamus McMahon!

Nikolas is a senior from Wauwatosa, WI who is majoring in business administration. He is an avid outdoorsman and a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

Derek is a sophomore from Mineral Point, WI who is majoring in finance. He is involved in SNC theater, campus ministry, student government and is a member of BIG social group.

Shamus is a senior from Neenah, WI who is majoring in sociology. He is an Eagle Scout, an FYE mentor, campus tour guide and is President of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

Very sorry for the long delay in getting this news out - Just building anticipation! We are very excited to announce the 2024-2025 Kausch Scholarship winners! This year's awards have gone to Juniors Mari Szews and Alexander Schneider! Mari is an education major from Sugar Camp who plays on the Women's Volleyball and Softball teams. Alexander is a chemistry major from Waukesha and is a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Congratulations to them both! Applications for next year's awards will soon be open!
