Every trip, every opportunity, every moment like this reminds me why we do what we do. Exposure changes everything, and our Legacy kids are rising higher with every experience.

Forward is the only direction we’re going.

Yesterday,on Christmas Day, our Legacy Club kids did what they do best they showed up with heart, purpose, and a spirit of service.

They volunteered at the Judkins Family annual Christmas Feeding and donated sodas, water, and blankets to help care for the more than 300 people who came out. Even on a holiday morning, they chose to give their time, their energy, and their love to the community.

This isn’t new for them serving on Christmas morning has become a tradition they carry with pride. These young leaders are learning early what it means to build a legacy: to serve, to uplift, and to lead by example.

We’re so proud of the impact they’re making. The future is in good hands.

Courtney and I LOVE The Legacy Club and know what a blessing it is to have this nonprofit in our area. Thank you to those who contributed to the 2 scholarships we gave out this year and to the Annual Rush to the Lush 5k! Today, we presented a donation to the club and can't wait to see what kind of changes these kids make in the world!!

Legacy Club Alummi Jasmine Smith!!

Jasmine Smith agrees with the sentiment that failure is just another step towards growth.
During her time in the organization, Jasmine has learned how to become more intentional in her speaking—slowing down and considering how her words resonate with others. “We live in a fast-paced world where we rush to deliver messages without thinking about how they land. I’ve learned to pause before speaking, use a supportive yet direct tone, and take my time."

She also credits Toastmasters with helping her become a more active listener and a more concise communicator. She’s grown more comfortable with receiving constructive feedback and exploring new ways to engage audiences. These lessons fit perfectly with what inspires her: her siblings, herself, and her future family. “I strive to show—and to truly understand—that there is always room to grow, change, and become the person you desire to be."

Looking ahead, Jasmine’s goal for the next year is to deliver at least one speech each quarter, continuing to challenge herself and build on the growth she’s achieved so far. For her, Toastmasters has truly been a gem—a place to learn, reflect, and step into new roles with confidence.

Iron Bowl Saturday a few of our young men with Men of Legacy hung out. Mr Perry hosted the young men. They had pizza, hot dogs, rotel and plenty more snacks.

No photos were taken of them cheering on the runners, but they started their Saturday morning volunteering at The Rush to Lush 5K!!! They escorted the last runner in, cheering them all the way to the finish line.❤️ This represents Legacy’s 1st community service for the month of November! Thanks to everyone who registered to participate in the 5K. All proceeds benefit The Legacy Club of Calhoun County.

The Legacy of Calhoun County trunk or treat event was a highlight for kids in the community. Legacy advisors had a fantastic time also😂. Kudos to Ms. Chasity for organizing to make this event such a triumph. See you guys next year!!!

On Sunday, the Legacy class of 2025 Debs attended their Mother/Daughter Tea. This year's theme, "The Princess Diaries," was a resounding success. The girls presented their moms with diaries, which they had personalized with heartfelt messages. The moms then placed tiaras on their daughters' heads as they expressed warm and thoughtful sentiments. It was a truly beautiful day.
