Today feels like the end of a chapter.

Not because the work of HOPEUNITED isn’t important. It is. The need for awareness, education, advocacy, and hope isn’t overlooked

But HOPEUNITED was built by Pam Stack.

Built by her passion.
By her love.
By her advocacy.
By her willingness to have the hard conversations and shine a light on things people would sometimes rather not see.

For years, Pam has poured her heart into this work; into survivors, into families, into our community, and into making sure people know they are not alone.

So today, we celebrate more than a program. We celebrate the incredible woman who made HOPEUNITED what it is.

Pam, thank you for every conversation, every training, every event, every tear, every laugh, and every person you have reminded that there is hope.

This may be the end of a chapter, but the impact of what you built will be carried forward.

And honestly…what a beautiful chapter it has been. ❤️

Here’s to you, Pam. We love you, we are grateful for you, and we will forever be better because of the hope you brought into this community.

⛳️💙 What a weekend at the Sunny King Charity Classic!

Our United Way team had the BEST time spending the weekend on the course, connecting and cheering on golfers, sharing a few laughs, and enjoying some great time together as a team. (We didn’t get pics of the whole crew)

Of course, no United Way tent is complete without plenty of snacks, drinks, and a little fun golf-ball dodging. 😂⛳️

We are so grateful for the opportunity to be part of an event that brings our community together in such a fun and meaningful way.

A huge thank you to Sunny King and everyone who helped make this weekend such a success. We loved seeing so many familiar faces and meeting new ones along the way!

💙 United is the Way!

Jessica will help lead our work around community impact, program development, innovation, and new strategies for addressing some of our communities’ greatest challenges.

🔹 Alex Wilkerson — Director of Youth Opportunity
Alex will provide leadership across UWECA’s growing Youth Opportunity ecosystem, connecting programs, partnerships, and strategies that help young people build pathways toward education, employment, and long-term success.

🔹 Jason Lindell — Director of Campaigns
Jason will lead all UWECA campaign efforts while continuing to strengthen relationships with businesses, workplace partners, donors, and community supporters throughout our region.

🔹 Kim Robertson — Manager of Program Operations
Kim will help coordinate operations across our growing portfolio of programs and direct services while continuing to provide leadership in several key areas of our work.

These aren't simply new titles. They recognize growth, responsibility, demonstrated leadership, and the important roles Jessica, Alex, Jason, and Kim are playing in the future of UWECA.

We're proud of what this team has accomplished — and even more excited about what we're building together.

💗 GIVE LIKE DOLLY. 📚

Today is September 25, and we’re celebrating Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library!

For more than 20 years, United Way of East Central Alabama has been proud to help bring Dolly’s vision to life right here in Calhoun, Cleburne, and Randolph counties.

Last year alone, 56,420 books were mailed to 6,136 local children.

But today, we’re thinking about more than the numbers.

We’re thinking about the little hands opening those books.
The bedtime stories.
The first words a child learns to recognize.
The imagination that grows with every page.
And the dreams that begin when a child learns that there is a whole world waiting to be discovered.

Dolly started something beautiful, and we have the opportunity to help carry that legacy forward right here at home. 💗

📚 WILL YOU GIVE LIKE DOLLY?

Sponsor a child through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and help provide a new, high-quality book to a local child every month.

Your gift isn't just helping put books in mailboxes.

You're helping put imagination in little minds, possibility in little hearts, and dreams within reach.

Today, in honor of Dolly and her incredible legacy, help us give a child the gift of a book.

Give Like Dolly.
One child. One book. One dream at a time. 📚🦋

📚 Randolph County, you’re helping put books into little hands! 💗📚

Today, 749 children in Randolph County are enrolled in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

That’s 61% of the eligible child population in the county receiving a new book every month, right in their own mailbox. 📬📖

And 403 children have already graduated from the program.

Every one of those numbers represents a child who has had the opportunity to read, imagine, learn and dream.

On September 25, we’re celebrating Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and the incredible impact it is making right here in our communities.

Give Like Dolly. 💗

Because big dreams can start with a little book. 📚🦋
