FLAG DAY; Flag Day is commemorated to mark the adoption of the official United States flag on June 14, 1777. On this date, the Second Continental Congress passed a resolution stating that the national flag would feature thirteen alternating red and white stripes and thirteen white stars in a blue field. Here at the Legion Post 29, we annually refresh our flags and proudly fly our flag. Tonight, we invite you to join us for our Flag Retirement Ceremony, a solemn and dignified event used to properly dispose of worn, torn, or faded American flags, at 6pm.
