Nanuk Lodge #355

09/13/2026

Nanuk Lodge mourns the passing of longtime Scouter, Arrowman, and adviser Richard V Howe Sr. (left).

For decades, Richard faithfully served Nanuk Lodge and the Great Alaska Council, mentoring and guiding generations of Scouts and Arrowmen. His legacy is also woven into our Lodge in a very tangible way through the beautiful beadwork he created over the years. Many Arrowmen across generations have carried pieces of his craftsmanship with them—each one a reminder of his dedication to our traditions and the people of Nanuk Lodge.

We are grateful for Richard’s lifetime of brotherhood, cheerfulness, and service. His influence will remain a part of Nanuk Lodge for generations to come.
