The Salvation Army Alaska Emergency Disaster Services team is deploying to support the community of Tok as they work to recover from the impact of the Mukluk Wildland Fire.
Three Salvation Army representatives will be serving at the State’s Disaster Assistance Center (DAC), located at the Tok Visitor Center, where they will provide emotional and spiritual care, as well as gift cards to assist individuals and families who have lost essential items due to the fire. The DAC will be open from Monday, August 24, through Wednesday, August 26.
While the community has rallied to support their friends and neighbors who have been directly affected by this devastating wildfire, the loss from this event will require every possible resource to help the community and those affected recover.
