The votes are in! We are so pleased to congratulate Rachel Morse and Penny Gage on winning the Chugach Electric Association Board of Directors Elections! We endorsed Morse and Gage because of their strong commitment to our clean energy future, and we can’t wait to work alongside them to actualize our shared vision for a thriving Alaska. Utility board elections are among the most important ways members can help shape decisions on energy costs, reliability, and Alaska’s clean energy future. Thank you for voting!

Make your voice heard! Share your thoughts with the Department of Natural Resources on constructing a data center on the North Slope.

A 50-year land lease has been preliminarily granted to build a data center that would run on fossil fuels and require transporting over 7.1 million cubic yards of gravel. The North Slope is already warming twice as fast as the global average. A massive new data center would expedite warming and risk irreversible harm to Alaska's environment.

Because gas prices are expected to rise in coming years amid a growing shortage in Cook Inlet, the solar project is poised to become cheaper.
