495 hours is a lot of activity! Way to start the Fall Challenge off strong Kaleidoscope School of Arts & Science

For the month of September, 33 students turned in their Alaska Healthy Futures Challenge Logs. This brings their combined total of activity for the month to 495 hours! Wow, way to be active KSAS students!

Through this program, students get prizes each month for turning in completed logs, and they also get a raffle ticket to enter for the end of year grand prize.

Thank you to Healthy Futures for supporting students’ health and exercise habits!

The ASD Elementary Jamborees wrapped up last night with the South Jamboree. Despite some seriously cold and wet weather, approximately 500 kiddos showed up. Alaskan are built different!

Between the three jamborees (Chugiak, North and South Anchorage), over 2,000 students participated in the 39th edition. A huge shout out to all the ASD employees, volunteers, sponsors and other partner organizations for ensuring the continued success of this tradition. And kudos especially to the parents who brought their kids out - rain or shine!

We're grateful to partner in such a great event!
