Sharing this opportunity for young artists!
Our friend and vendor, Annie's Arts and Follies, is a co-op member and Board President of the Girdwood Center for Visual Arts. She shared the following about this scholarship opportunity-
"We are giving away 2 $2,000 scholarships to Alaska "kids" going to school for art. 1 high school senior, and 1 currently enrolled college student. They do not have to be attending school in Alaska, but must be Alaska residents. Applications are due March 1st. All applicants, regardless of award, will be part of our April Scholarship show at the gallery. I would have PLOTZED for this kid of opportunity in my art school days, and I want to make sure as many people know about this, so as many kids can apply as possible."
