That's not just a phrase at Bean's Cafe — it's the foundation of everything we do in Streets to Success. 💙

Streets to Success is a voluntary 12- to 16-month residential program for adults rebuilding after homelessness and addiction. It's grounded in one belief: that people respond with kindness when treated kindly, with trust when trusted, and with respect when respected.

Participants move through four phases — discovering community, building personal skills, developing strategies for long-term recovery, and taking steps toward stable employment and housing.

The staff are experts. Many have lived experience. And every person who walks through the door is received — not rescued.

We're halfway through 2026, and we haven't slowed down for a single day. 💛

Since January, your support has kept Bean's Cafe's kitchen running, The Children's Lunchbox delivering to families across Anchorage, and Streets to Success walking alongside adults rebuilding their lives.

What does mid-year look like at Bean's Cafe?

🍽️ Meals served daily — up to 1,200 children and adults
🥗 The Children's Lunchbox: 1mil+ meals since 2020
👷 Streets to Success: participants gaining job skills and stable housing

This July 4th, as the country marks 250 years, we're thinking about what community really means. 🇺🇸 Giving 4th is a movement to establish July 4 as a new national day of charitable giving.

Big news from Bean's Cafe! 🎉 Our CEO, Scott Lingle, has been named a 2026 Achievement in Business Leadership honoree, recognized alongside 23 other Alaska business and nonprofit leaders on June 25th.
