We're honored to have won the Hardrock Mineral Community Outreach and Economic Security Award from The Bureau of Land Management. The award recognizes our community outreach and education efforts surrounding the mining industry. Meet Zee Rosado, our new Southeast Program Coordinator. Zee got hooked on Alaska's natural resources after spending a decade in Alaska's fishing industry. She also brings valuable nonprofit experience and is excited to connect with students and teachers across Southeast Alaska. A big thank you to our new sponsor, Orica. Where can you find herds of musk ox and “Rockstar” students? Nome’s Northwestern Alaska Career and Technical Center (NACTEC)! Recently, STEM educators Leola and Isaac collaborated with NACTEC to lead a week-long critical minerals and mining careers camp for 13 Bering Strait School District high school students from Nome, Elim, Koyuk, Unalakleet and Stebbins. The camp included tours, hands-on lessons and guest speakers that taught students about career and training opportunities in natural resources.

And a big thank you for ConocoPhillips for their support and participation.
