Alaska Sound Celebration, Alaska’s premier female a ca****la chorus, invites you to our fall 2026 Performance Opportunity Program. This FREE opportunity kicks off every Tuesday from August 25 through September 29 at 6 p.m. at Congregation Beth Shalom in Anchorage. Dive into the world of a ca****la, and experience being part of a dynamic group of women who share your passion for music. Huge congratulations to a couple of our newest members on their very first performance with the chorus! Julie and Gia helped bring our fun, entertaining "Alaska Style" package to life at last night's SET To Sing Showcase. Julie even stepped up to co-MC the set and absolutely knocked it out of the park! We are so thrilled to welcome these two incredible additions to the chorus. Here’s to a bright future with ASC! 🤩🎵🎤

Rewind Quartet is back in action! Alaska Sound Celebration couldn't be prouder of Molly, Amanda, Christy, and Melanie. Watching them take on coaching and then absolutely blow our socks off at last night’s performance was nothing short of inspiring! 🎙🎶🌟

Last night’s rehearsal was a quartet extravaganza! 🎶 Our upcoming SET to Sing showcase is THIS SATURDAY at the Lakefront Anchorage Hotel, featuring performances from our Novice Quartets—some delightfully impromptu (still need tickets? They’re just $15! Grab yours at Zeffy - URL below)!

Check out our video montage highlighting a few of these “novice” quartets (you might recognize some familiar faces 😉), along with Bonfire, who will also be taking the stage on Saturday. Last night we had baris as leads, tenors as basses, and a special guest, Sarah from Omaha, joining the fun! We just might convince her to join our ranks yet! Props to all these risk-takers who put themselves out there in the name of barbershop fun!

We spent last night’s rehearsal fine-tuning our upcoming performances—and we hope to see you there! (Check out our previous posts for all the details!)
With Phil out of town (we miss you, Phil!), Melodee took the helm once again. Honestly, what would we do without her? 🎶

As we all wade through piles of endless political mailers, Melodee reminded us to appreciate the beauty of the great state we live in. To celebrate, we took a break and sang the Alaska Flag Song. We sure do love Alaska! 🐻🌲🎣🍄🦅

Alaska Sound Celebration is turning 60! 🎉🥳 They say 60 is the new 30—or something like that—and we couldn't agree more. We are feeling stronger and more vibrant than ever!

We marked the milestone with delicious cake, a rousing performance of “Sound Celebration,” plenty of laughter, and even a couple of husbands exchanging numbers. This group has always been about so much more than just singing—it’s about deep community and lifelong connections.

If singing isn’t your thing, we hope you find whatever brings you that same joy. But if you're a woman who loves to sing, maybe our community is exactly what you’ve been looking for!
