Our friends over at Reworld Waste are doing scary good work! 🎃

For the past several years, Reworld has worked alongside the Coalition to support Long Islanders and their families in need. Each year, they bring a crew of BBQ masters to Backpack Pirates to serve our campers a delicious, kid-friendly lunch.

We would not be able to do this work without the support of organizations like Reworld and all of our partners. Thank you! 🧡

Only two weeks left until Stuff the Pantry, and our community has already come out swinging! 💪 We are SO grateful to everyone who has dropped off donations over the past few weeks (or years!).

Just because donations have been coming in early doesn’t mean we don’t still need you at Stuff the Pantry! Bring your shelf-stable goods, especially toiletries, and we’ll see you in 14 days (and counting).

Much like homelessness, domestic violence is often underreported and hidden in plain sight.

The numbers only tell part of the story. Many survivors go uncounted, and access to safe housing and support can make all the difference.

The season of giving is right around the corner, and we might be biased, but one of our favorite parts is getting to spend it with all of you! 🍁🎃

For the past three years, our community has shown up for Stuff the Pantry, and we’re so grateful for everyone who has helped fill our shelves and make this event what it is.🤗

We don’t want you to just drop off your donations and run! Stick around for some fall fun, connect with your neighbors, and celebrate the launch of Mona's Supply Closet with us!

We truly couldn’t do this work without the support of our community, and we feel pretty lucky to have such an amazing one.

Every November, we invite the community to Stuff the Pantry! 🦃🍁

Join us Saturday, November 7th from 10 to 1 to drop off the toiletries and pantry items we need most. It’s a rare chance to donate outside our regular Monday to Friday, 9 to 5 hours, and you don’t have to just drop and go! Stick around for fall activities (including a seasonal photo shoot opportunity!!), connect with fellow neighbors, and see the space where hundreds of Long Islanders a month get a dignified, free shopping experience!

We’re also celebrating the launch of Mona’s
Supply Closet, a permanent home for school supplies in our boutique. Kids need supplies all year, not just in September!

We are honored to award a grant of $2500 to Long Island Coalition for the Homeless through the Scott Martella Memorial Scholarship Fund. Scott made the world a better place and his belief in helping others was tied in a bow that would never unravel.

"Why don't they just leave?"

For many survivors of domestic violence, abuse cuts them off from the rest of the world, including financially. How can you leave without the resources to do it?
