2/23/26. Many thanks to Florence Blyskal who so prayerfully presented St. Teresa of Avila’s poem Seeking God to 25 participants. The evening
was a grace-filled reminder that “For love you were fashioned deep within me [God].” We are God’s Beloved. What a grace-filled way to start the first week of Lent!

This year, so many wonderful young people wrote Valentine’s Day cards to our sisters including students from St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School (spearheaded by student Preston Caruso), the Hofstra Softball Team, Molloy University and Girl Scout Troop #1034 in Westbury. They also received homemade cards from students (nursery through eighth grade) at Notre Dame Catholic School in New Hyde Park. The sisters felt very loved and appreciated being remembered on this special day. (Also pictured are Sister Judy Olsen and Sister Bernadette Donovan.)

As is customary, fried foods were served including yummy pancakes and bacon. Music was provided by John Hughes’ Coast to Coast Music and Entertainment — who really got the sisters in a joyful mood singing their favorite songs.
