Sister Flor and Sister Diane Capuano were witnesses of love on a special panel at an event entitled: “Entrusted with the Light of Compassion,” held at St.John’s University on October 24th sponsored by Heart to Heart Ministry.
Heart to Heart is a ministry of love and healing that began as an inspiration to share prayer moments in many creative ways more than two decades ago.

More than 140 people attended this event. "It was truly a day of celebrating compassion and recommitting ourselves to sharing heart to heart Jesus’ mercy, peace, justice, and hope in our world," said Sister Ave Clark. Homemade refreshments sure made everyone feel joy-filled too.

Michael Hoffner -- friend of Sister Jean Peter Olsen -- Publishes "Peace Be With You."

"Living in community at Hope House Ministries of Port Jefferson saved my life," said Michael Hoffner, a friend of the late Sister Jean Peter Olsen, who ministered at Hope House. "Not just because it is where I got clean. But because it is where my spiritual roots were established. It is where I learned the truth that we heal together - in community, not by ourselves. It is where I got in touch with a part of myself that was buried and lost beneath a pile of insecurity and pain. I didn’t just find God; I found myself and came back to life. I am glad I get to share about this journey in my new book."

📚✨ 250 Sisters Who Shaped the USA: Sr. Wilhelmina Huston, OP 🇺🇸

🎓 Sr. Wilhelmina Huston, OP, dedicated her life to education, preserving Dominican history, and strengthening her community. She helped establish a four-year high school program at St. Paul’s in Daytona Beach, Florida, and later taught in schools in the Bronx and Providence. 🍎

📚 At Dominican College, she transformed the Sisters’ small collection of spiritual books into a college library, serving as head librarian until 1969. She also spent eight years as Coordinating Officer of the Pro Deo Association, supporting the wider Dominican mission. 🤝

🗂️ As Community Archivist, Sr. Wilhelmina researched the history of the Sisters of St. Dominic of Blauvelt and helped establish the identity of their foundress, Mother Mary Ann Sammon. By sharing Dominican history with younger Sisters, she helped ensure that the community’s stories and legacy would be carried forward for generations. ❤️

🌟 Her life reminds us that preserving our history and sharing knowledge are powerful ways to strengthen a community and inspire its future.
