Join us in celebrating Staci and five incredible years at the Center for Creative Justice!

For the past five years, Staci has led CCJ with compassion, encouragement, advocacy, and a commitment to helping individuals grow and thrive. With a background spanning corrections, law enforcement, education, and service coordination, her years of public service and her experience as an educator bring a creative and people-centered approach to serving others.

Here’s to many more years of inspiring growth, building connections, and creating positive change! Thank you, Staci, for all you do for CCJ and our community. We are grateful to have you on our team!

As comes to a close, we wanted to express our appreciation to Community & Family Resources and The Lotus Foundation for hosting this year’s International Overdose Awareness Day in Ames, and for the work they do every day to raise awareness, end the stigma, and save lives. CCJ recently had the opportunity to connect with staff from our community partner, The Well Resource Center. We enjoyed touring their new Well Works facility and learning about how this program is creating opportunities for “Transformation Through Work.” We are grateful for partnerships like this that strengthen our community.

United is the Way!

CCJ is proud to support the efforts of United Way of Story County to invest in bright futures, create financial empowerment, and strengthen collective well-being across our community.

We started the day at Cornbred for UWSC’s Kickoff Breakfast, welcomed Iowa State University volunteers to our office for a service project, and wrapped up the day participating in Uniting Volunteers activities.

CCJ is grateful for the opportunity to connect with others, contribute to these efforts, and be part of making a difference right here in Story County!

10 years of making a difference!

Zak started his career at CCJ as a student intern from ISU, serving as office manager and helping keep the office running smoothly. He soon transitioned into his role as a probation officer, where he continues to make a meaningful impact in our community.

Congratulations, Zak, on your 10-year CCJ workiversary! Thank you for a decade of hard work, dedication, and service. CCJ wouldn’t be the same without you!

We are excited to introduce Emily, summer intern and fall work-study student!

Hello, my name is Emily, I am a senior at Iowa state. I am a double major in Criminal Justice and Biology. I am very interested in this internship and work-study opportunity as I think it can really benefit my skills and knowledge while making a difference in people's lives. After graduation I plan to pursue a career somewhere in the forensics/CSI world, while working with animal conservation. My goal is to make a positive impact for animals and people. I am overjoyed for this opportunity and am excited to learn and grow while contributing to the team.
