To close out the end of April, AIA Amarillo recently celebrated our annual visit from the Texas Society of Architects President-elect with a delicious lunch from Panhandlers Cafe. This year's President-elect is Stephi Motal of Black and Motal.
This event was followed by our second annual architecture presentations from the architecture class at AmTech Career Academy. These students brought their best designs to the community.

This week AIA Amarillo celebrated our Biennial Design Awards in conjunction with Construction Specifiers Institute Amarillo's award ceremony right after a delicious meal! Congratulations to all of this year's winners!

AIA Amarillo recently celebrated Architecture week with a visit from TxA president-elect, Krystyn Haecker to our city. At the week’s events, AIA Amarillo honored long time architect Jim Doche with the renaming of the chapter’s scholarship, in his honor. At this event chapter president Scott Slagle presented a proclamation on architecture week, read by the City of Amarillo. AIA Amarillo also celebrated Architecture week by partnering with AmTech Career Academy, where students interested in perusing architecture, presented their architectural projects at Center City of Amarillo.
