A little over a week ago, our shelter cat Tremaine found herself her forever home with our volunteer, Kathy! 🐾

Kathy says, “We adopted Tremaine 1 week ago today. At the shelter she seemed so stressed. She wanted pet so badly, but wouldn’t let me near. Gave swats instead. So I figured best way to help her was to adopt her and give her a home.
Arrived home and she immediately climbed cat tree to look out the window. The nervousness is disappearing more each day…& very rarely a swat. Instead prefers to snuggle beside during tv time, & finally get all those rubs behind her ears.
She has even begun exploring her new home with her new brother Pancake. Showing all the good boxes to nap in ..etc. She even enjoys sleeping on her human Uncle Brian’s bed with him. We love her so much ❤️”

Thank you Kathy for giving Tremaine the second chance she deserved!

Today, we are celebrating our amazing staff member, Angela, as she moves onto new adventures in her life! ✨

Angela has been more than just a staff member during her time at BCHS, she is a friendly face, the go-to cat person, the shelter “mom”, and overall the person that makes the shelter a brighter place.

Angela joined BCHS in May of 2020 and since then, she has helped thousands of animals find their forever homes. Angela, we will miss you. Thank you for everything you have done for the shelter during your time.

Our 16-week-old Pit Bull puppies become available TOMORROW🐾‼️

The puppies will be available for adoption on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 10 AM on Saturday, August 29th - not a minute sooner! All children 10 & under and other dogs must be present for the meet & greet. We look forward to our puppies finding their furever homes! 🥰

Completion of a pre-adoption application does not guarantee an adoption. No holds will be accepted; puppies will stay at the shelter for their spay/neuter after adoption.

Karen has been helping BCHS for over three years now and shows up every day determined to give our animals the love and care they deserve. We appreciate all that you do for us Karen, and we enjoy having you here around the shelter! ✨
