In a recent clinical trial, researchers studied Memantine, a medication commonly used to treat symptoms of Alzheimer's disease, in adults with frequent symptomatic PACs.

Compared with a placebo, participants taking memantine experienced:
❤️ Fewer premature atrial contractions (PACs)
❤️ Less nonsustained atrial tachycardia
❤️ A lower rate of new-onset atrial fibrillation during the six-week study

Researchers also reported no drug-related serious adverse events in either group.

While these findings are encouraging, memantine is not currently approved for treating PACs. More research is needed to determine its long-term safety and effectiveness before it could become a standard treatment option.

Medical research continues to explore new ways to treat heart rhythm disorders, bringing hope for future therapies.

🩸 Understanding Diabetes ❤️

Did you know that **more than 1 in 3 U.S. adults may have prediabetes**, and many don't know they have it?

Diabetes affects how your body uses blood sugar (glucose) for energy. Over time, high blood sugar can damage the heart, kidneys, eyes, and nerves if left unmanaged.

The good news is that healthy habits can make a difference. Eating a balanced diet, staying physically active, maintaining a healthy weight, and working with your healthcare provider can help lower your risk and support long-term health.

❤️ Diabetes and heart disease are closely connected, making prevention and early management especially important.

💙 Good Morning!

Today's affirmation is a reminder that even during life's toughest moments, hope can be a powerful source of strength.

Some days may feel overwhelming, and that's okay. Hope doesn't mean every day is easy. It means believing that brighter days are possible and continuing to move forward one step at a time.

Take a deep breath, be kind to yourself, and remember that every new day brings a new opportunity to heal, grow, and keep going. 💙

🧬 Research Tuesday 💙

**A New Breakthrough in Pancreatic Cancer Offers Hope**

Researchers recently announced encouraging results from a clinical trial of **daraxonrasib**, an experimental drug for metastatic pancreatic cancer.

In the study, patients taking daraxonrasib had a **median survival of 13 months**, compared with **6.5 months** for those receiving standard treatment. The drug also showed fewer side effects than traditional chemotherapy.

While daraxonrasib is **not yet a cure or FDA-approved**, these findings represent an exciting step forward in pancreatic cancer research and offer new hope for patients and their families.

Research like this reminds us why continued investment in cancer research is so important.

🍔 Turkey Burgers with Apple Slaw 🍎🥬

Looking for a healthier twist on burger night? These turkey burgers topped with a fresh apple slaw are packed with lean protein, fiber, and flavor.

Why it's heart healthy:

💙 Lean ground turkey is lower in saturated fat than many traditional beef burgers.

💙 Apples and cabbage provide fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants that support overall health.

💙 Choose a whole wheat bun for extra fiber and nutrients.

💙 Swap regular mayonnaise for plain Greek yogurt or a light mayo to reduce saturated fat while keeping the slaw creamy.
