Communicycle Needs Your Help!

We’re looking for a group of 8–10 volunteers from an organization or company for a project to help us get donated bikes fixed and given away quicker to kids and adults.

The work? Take down the spare bike rim wall hangers we have mounted in a building in Aliquippa, move them to our Monaca workshop, and re-install them on the workshop walls. This will give us nice organized space for 150 spare rims - to find a replacement rim easily when a donated bike comes in with a bent one.

⏰ Time needed: Approximately 3 hours.

Motivation Monday 🚲

A bicycle may seem like a simple thing, but it can open the door to so much more.

It can provide transportation to work, help a child get to school, create opportunities for exercise, and bring families and communities together.

Every bike has the potential to take someone somewhere new. That is why we keep pedaling forward! 💙🚲

We are having a bike distribution at the Beaver Valley Mall on Monday, August 24th!

We are giving away bikes that generally fit kids ages 10 and under. If you need a bike for a kid in your life, register on our website and we will see you there! 🚲🎈

Communicycle will take your donated bikes, give them a little TLC in our workshop, and get them ready to ride for someone new. One bike can make a difference!

Bikes can travel a long way, and sometimes they carry a little piece of one community to another.

This year, some of the bikes provided through Communicycle made their way to residents of Wanblee, South Dakota with Without Reservation, a ministry that brings bikes to communities and families there.

We love seeing where these bikes end up and, even more, seeing the smiles, connections, and opportunities they create along the way. What starts in a workshop in Beaver County can become a bike ride, a new adventure, or a way for someone to get where they need to go hundreds of miles away.

Thank you to Without Reservation for the work you are doing and for letting us be a small part of the journey. We’re grateful to see these bikes out on the road! ❤️🚲
