Filipino American Cancer Care would like to thank F.A.C.C. Model, Sponsor and Mrs. Philippines New York 2025 Maria Victoria Ginter for personally delivering an F.A.C.C. Care Basket to our beneficiary and fellow F.A.C.C. model, Theresa Jay Rubi.

Theresa has been part of the FACC family since 2024, when she walked the runway during our Fashion for Compassion event wearing the beautiful creation of designer Carl Andrada. None of us could have imagined that one day, Theresa herself would need the care and support of FACC.

At only 31 years old, Theresa was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer that has spread to her bones. Despite everything she is going through, she continues to face her journey with courage and hope.

We are also happy that Theresa plans to join us again at the FACC Fashion for Hope and Courage Charity Gala on October 31, 2026. It will be very meaningful and special to have her with us not only as someone who once walked our runway, but now as one of the cancer warriors our F.A.C.C. family is honoring and supporting.

Thank you, Maria Victoria Ginter, for taking the time to deliver the Care Basket on behalf of the Filipino American Cancer Care. Sometimes a simple visit and a thoughtful gift can remind someone how much they are loved and cared for.

Theresa, we look forward to seeing you in October. Your F.A.C.C. family is with you throughout this journey. Keep the faith and keep fighting. 🙏

The Filipino American Cancer Care is pleased to announce ROSAL ESCASINAS as F.A.C.C. Philanthropic Hero Nominee for our upcoming Filipino American Cancer Care Fashion for Hope & Courage Charity Gala scheduled on Saturday, 4pm, October 31, 2026 at Magnoliya Convention Center in Manassas, Virginia.

Rosal Escasinas is a retired nurse from Roanoke, Virginia, whose life has been centered on caring for others, supporting her family and friends, and quietly extending a helping hand whenever she can.

Rosal understands personally how cancer can affect a family. She has seen the impact of cancer within her own family, as her sister faced cancer and an experience that has given special meaning to her support of the Filipino American Cancer Care (F.A.C.C.) and its mission of helping cancer patients in need.

Even from Roanoke, Rosal has consistently made the effort to support F.A.C.C. She has gone out of her way and traveled the distance to attend and support the organization’s activities, a gesture that F.A.C.C. appreciates. Her presence and generosity to help reflect the kind of person she is: someone who shows up for the people and causes she cares about.

A nurse by profession before her retirement, Rosal spent years in a field dedicated to caring for others. That same caring spirit continues today in the way she supports her friends, family, and community.

Rosal lives in Roanoke with her husband, Dr. Edgar Escasinas, a nephrologist specializing in kidney care.

F.A.C.C. is proud to recognize Rosal Escasinas as a 2026 Philanthropic Hero Nominee for her kindness, generosity, and continued support of our mission.

To qualify for the Philanthropic Hero recognition, each nominee is asked to raise a minimum of $2,500. All donations go directly to FACC to help provide financial assistance and support to our cancer patient beneficiaries.

If you would like to support Rosal’s campaign, we would be grateful for a donation of any amount. To make a donation go to: https:/www.filamcancercare.org/donate and click the DONATE button.
