We are excited to share that Adriana Gómez Schellhaas has joined the Hearts of Love team. Adriana's skills and expertise will help Hearts of Love deepen the work of supporting families and individuals in the Chirilagua neighborhood. Adriana Gómez Schellhaas, a proud El Paso native, has made Alexandria, Virginia her home since 2010. With over a decade of nonprofit leadership experience, Adriana spent four and a half transformative years as the executive director of Casa Chirilagua, a faith-based organization working alongside a Central American immigrant neighborhood. Her work in leadership and community development is fueled by her faith and deep commitment to listening, empathy, bridge-building and collaboration. Recognized for her exceptional impact, she was honored as one of Alexandria and Northern Virginia's '40 Under 40' and named a 2022 Washingtonian of the Year.
Adriana currently serves as a nonprofit consultant for the Kathleen and Edward Arthur Hearts of Love Foundation and contributes her expertise to the Alexandria Community Safety Forum. Outside of her professional endeavors, Adriana is a proud mother of twins, a dedicated wife, and a trained musician, blending creativity and compassion in all aspects of her life.
