We are proud to spotlight Dr. Humaira Shafi, a distinguished member of the Rotary Peace Fellowship Alumni Association’s MENA Region, whose work continues to advance peace education, conflict transformation, and international security.
Dr. Shafi serves as a faculty member at the Centre for International Peace and Stability (CIPS), National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), where she teaches and conducts research in peace and conflict studies.
Beyond her academic role, she coordinates national and international training programs, conferences, and outreach initiatives focused on peacebuilding, mediation, and global security. Her dedication to strengthening knowledge, building capacity, and promoting constructive dialogue reflects the values and mission of the Rotary Peace Fellowship community.

The District 7610 Strategic Water Alliance (SWA) brings together 25 Rotary clubs supporting sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene projects that create lasting change.

Together, SWA-supported projects have helped improve access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene for more than 100,000 people around the world. That impact is also reaching closer to home through projects in Mathews, Virginia.

Access to safe water changes far more than where people get their water. Children have more time for school. Families experience better health. Communities gain opportunity, dignity, and hope.

Congratulations to our club member, Edith Hawkins, on being honored as a Community Leader by The Alexandria Chamber of Commerce!

The Rotary Club Of Alexandria congratulates our club member, Edith Hawkins, on being recognized as a "40 Over 40" Community Leader by Chamber ALX. The August 13, 2026 award ceremony followed the Chamber's announcement on May 21.

The Club is proud of Edith's work as President and CEO of the Campagna Center, one of Alexandria’s oldest and largest community-based nonprofits serving children and families through education, youth development, and family support programs.

Congratulations, again, to Edith and all 40 Over 40 Awardees!
