This morning marked the forty-ninth day since the death of Windhorse member Dave Collins. According to Buddhist tradition, we've been chanting for him every seven days since his passing and today was the seventh and final service.

As we chanted this morning, "May his dharma work continue. May he find his true home. May all beings realize Buddhahood!"

On Sunday, November 1, we'll gather for a Day of Zazen (zazenkai) with a focus on the Wheel of Life and Death.

We'll set up a Memorial Altar in the Kannon Room, and are inviting everyone to bring photos of loved ones who've died—animals included—to Panther Branch, or email them to Andy anytime throughout the last week of October leading up to this zazenkai.

Our online sangha is of course welcome to join! Teisho, however, will be audio-only.

Please register by Tuesday, October 27. Registration is in the weekly Windhorse update. Email [email protected] if you'd like more information!

🎉🎉🎉 Many thanks to ordained Windhorse member Jamie and WH member Tom (& the Roshis, too) for their tireless work for these last many months in completely overhauling and redesigning the Windhorse website—and Anya for helping get it over the finish line! A deep bow of gratitude for all their hard work. We're a little biased but we think it looks great! Just point your browser to www.WindhorseZen.org to check it out! 🎉🎉🎉
