For the first time, WNC Repair Cafe volunteers will be at the from 5:00-8:00 THIS THURSDAY 3/19.

We're offering all kinds of free repairs. From sewing to small engines, small appliances to garden tools and more; If you can bring it to us, we'll fix it for free.

THIS SATURDAY (3/14): WNC Repair Cafe volunteers are returning to the willow building at Haywood Community College

From 10:00-2:00 we'll be offering FREE REPAIRS on all things sewing, small appliances, bicycles, small engines, furniture, tools, heirlooms and more. We can even handle some welding jobs now!

If you can bring it to us, there's a good chance we can fix it for free.

Starting on February 3rd, the Haywood County High School Repair Shop program returns to HCC on Tuesdays at 3:30 during the spring semester. We'll start with small appliance repair before moving to modules on Sewing and Bicycles, then we'll let the students decide what they want to learn from a long list of previous lessons.

This year, students are invited to join us for all Haywood repair cafes, including a special repair cafe session at the Waynesville Senior Center on a Tuesday afternoon in April.

All students of high school age are welcome.

2026 will be a big year for community repair!

Our final sewing and mending workshop for 2025 is this Saturday, 12/6 from 1-4 at Pack Memorial Library. Bring us your torn, worn out and ripped clothing, bags, luggage and anything else that can be fixed with thread. We'll try to fix your zippers too. As always, WNC Repair Cafe volunteers fix it for free.

Park on the 5th level of the Rankin Ave garage and there is a door That leads right in to the main floor of the library. We'll be set up downstairs. There is elevator access for those who need it.

We're still fixing chainsaws, and anything else you can bring to the Asheville Tool Library this Thursday 12/4 from 5:00-8:00 pm.

There's still time to have your clothes mended on December 6 at Pack Library from 1:00-4:00, but for other repairs this is your last chance for 2025.

Students at the UNCA Student environmental center are organizing a mending repair night, YOU are invited, and we're happy to help! So cool to see young folks taking the lead on environmental stewardship through skills building and community action.
