Monthly Gatherings
We gather for a social gathering with an aviation related presentation every month at a local restaurant. Check our website or newsletter but it is typically the 3rd Tuesday evening, every month. Land of Enchantment Fly-In
We host the Land of Enchantment Fly In (LOEFI) at Double Eagle II Airport, the last Saturday of September each year. Young Eagles Flights
Our volunteer pilots introduce youth 8-17 years to aviation with a free flight at Young Eagle events throughout the year. Written parental permission required on site and subject to weather and volunteer pilot availability. Chapter 179's Young Eagles events are held at Double Eagle II Airport on Albuquerque's west side. We conduct a week long Double Eagle Aviation Academy (DEAA), providing teens an opportunity to explore a future in aviation. Aviation and Air Academy Scholarships
