🎉Happy Birthday to our amazing Director of Programs, Andrea Recek! 🎉

Andrea manages our scholarship program, oversees Peely's Teacher Supply House, and our grants program (among many other things to help the APSF run smoothly). Her dedication helps make so much of our work possible.
Thank you for the care, organization, and passion you bring to supporting students, teachers, and our community every day.

Today we got to throw a super fun Dutch Bros Hot Chocolate Party for Margo and her class at South Shore Elementary School! She worked hard at iSwim for Kids to raise the most pledges out of every student who participated, raising an impressive $365!

Today, we are so proud to present scholarships to the 2026 graduating class of Albany Options School!

AOS's award ceremony is always so special, as the students are recognized for their achievements in how far they've come, regardless of their hardships. The teachers truly care about these students, and it's clear how much of an impact it's made on the students' lives.

As we wrap up this scholarship season, we are so proud to have given out over $293,000 to graduating Albany seniors.
This is an extraordinary achievement, thanks to our generous community partners, donors, and service clubs, we can help make many students’ futures a little brighter.

Thank you to everyone who helped support our students to help make the graduating class of 2026 one of the best ones yet.

🎉Congratulations to South Shore Elementary School for winning TOP SCHOOL for participation at iSwim for Kids! 🎉
They had the highest participation at iSwim out of every school that came to the event! For their hard work, we awarded their school $350!
Peely came to visit their end-of-the-year assembly this morning to present a giant check as a surprise.

As a bonus, one of their students, Margo, raised the MOST money among all students at iSwim and won a Dutch Bros hot chocolate party for her class! (which will be later this week)

One of the many things we love to do at the APSF is show our love for the teachers and staff of the Greater Albany Public Schools. Every year, we attend their retirement ceremony to wish the retiring GAPS staff members a happy retirement and to present them with a special gift from the APSF staff and board members.
We are honored to have been a part of your careers!

Yesterday, we were thrilled to be able to award scholarships to the 2026 graduating class of West Albany High School! We handed out awards for nearly 2 hours in a wonderful ceremony attended by our donors, family, friends, and of course, the staff at West.
