💌 We’d love to hear from you!

For the first time this year, our whole family will be heading back to the States! We’ll be going for some medical appointments, and our trip happens to fall over Elijah’s 14th birthday, too!

Since we can’t receive regular mail in Honduras, we thought it would be fun for our kids to get some mail while we’re in the States. If you’d like to send one of them a note, card, drawing, or just a little hello, we’d genuinely love that! ❤️ Nothing fancy needed. Just hearing from friends and family back home would mean so much to them.

If you’d like to send something, message me or Darrek and we’ll send you an address. My in-laws will be meeting us and can bring the mail with them. Our trip is Sept 12-20, so send them soon if you can! :)

🏕️ ChildHope Camp 2026! 🙌

What an incredible few days! ChildHope Honduras was able to host a camp for more than 100 middle and high school students from our area, and God did some amazing things!

At least 3 students accepted Christ for the first time, another 10+ reaffirmed their faith in Christ, and many students made the decision that they want to serve in their churches. ❤️

Darrek had the privilege of leading worship, which was especially exciting because many of these students had never experienced a time of worship at camp before. He also shared a message with the students, and it was such a joy to see them respond.

And of course, the kids had an absolute BLAST! 🎉 Many of them had never been to a camp before, so getting to experience the games, activities, friendships, and fun was incredibly special.

Thank you so much for praying for this camp! We truly believe God answered those prayers and moved in the hearts of these students. We’re excited to see how He continues to work in their lives and through the desire many of them now have to serve Him. 🙏❤️

Calling all prayer warriors! Tomorrow night, Darrek has the opportunity to speak at a high school camp for some of our ChildHope Honduras students. Please pray for the Holy Spirit to speak through him and that lives would be changed for eternity. Thanks!!

THANK YOU JAMES RIVER CHURCH!!!

What an incredible week of ministry! ❤️ Our medical team served over 450 patients in two very poor and underserved communities, including a church near the dump and a ChildHope Church and school in a dangerous neighborhood. Many of those who came rarely have the opportunity to see a doctor, and our team worked tirelessly to care for them both practically and spiritually. We are so grateful for this incredible, servant-hearted team, especially our Teams Coordinator, Jesimiel Vijil, and fellow missionary Jackie Welence, who flew in from Colombia to serve with us! We saw many people give their lives to Jesus and had countless opportunities to pray with and encourage patients. We also saw people healed!!! What a powerful week of showing people the love of Christ in both word and action! 🙏🏽❤️

Last weekend was such a special time as more than 70 ChildHope teachers gathered for our annual Seminario! It was a weekend filled with encouragement, practical training, heartfelt worship, powerful prayer, and sweet fellowship. Darrek had the privilege of leading worship and sharing a devotional, while I helped behind the scenes with setup, teardown, prizes, and keeping our kids happy and involved. Our children jumped right in too, serving alongside us by helping set up, clean up, and hand out prizes and certificates. We were also blessed to have our friend Missionary Jackie Welence travel from Colombia. Beyond sharing valuable training on teaching children with neurodivergence, she served tirelessly behind the scenes, helping with setup, teardown, and wherever there was a need, including loving on our kids. Our incredible ChildHope staff worked tirelessly to make every detail come together, and by the end of the weekend, teachers left feeling refreshed, equipped, encouraged, and even more prepared to serve their students. Set on a beautiful farm that everyone, especially the kids, absolutely loved, the weekend was filled with laughter, unity, and a deeper drawing near to Jesus. We are so thankful for what God is doing through these amazing educators!

Thank you to everyone who generously gave toward this year's Seminario. Your support made it possible for these teachers to attend a weekend of encouragement, training, worship, and renewal. We truly couldn't have done it without you, and the impact of your generosity will continue to ripple through classrooms and communities all across Honduras. 💙🤍

A couple weeks ago, we had the privilege of hosting a missions team from Bethel Church in Medford, Oregon here in Honduras. This team of 15 were an incredible blessing as they served in two different schools painting, installing ceilings, leading kids ministry programs, assisting with water filter outreaches and helping to put on a high school camp for the two schools. God did powerful things through this incredible team, and we are so grateful that they came and served with us to bring hope to students in Honduras.

We just hosted an amazing team from Eastridge Church in Issaquah, WA, and we already miss them so much! 💙🇭🇳🤍

They were such a blessing to our office, a nearby church, and the ChildHope schools and students in our city. It was incredible to watch God move through them here in Honduras and to see lives impacted along the way.

One of the most exciting parts of the week was seeing several ChildHope students get sponsored! Because of their generosity, these kids’ lives will be forever changed. 🥹

This team truly worked hard, prayed hard, and played hard! Thank you, Eastridge Church, for loving and serving so well! (Psst, come back and visit us!!! 😉)

Want to impact kids in Honduras? Start with the teachers. 🍎

The students in our schools don’t just need education. They need encouragement, patience, stability, and hope. ❤️

That’s why this teacher training matters so much.

This June, nearly 100 teachers from our ChildHope schools will gather for a training seminar designed to strengthen the way they teach, lead, and care for their students.
For many of these teachers, attending costs nearly a month’s salary. Thankfully, we have been able to cut costs to help lower the price for them to attend! Can you help them raise the rest?

We’re raising support to help make this training possible because when teachers are equipped and encouraged, entire classrooms change. ✨
