This Thursday at Ocean Hoptimism: Chef Laurence Jossel of Nopa and joins for a deep dive into the messy, fascinating reality of sustainable seafood — and he’s bringing a taste with him. 🌊🍽️🍺

Attendees will get to try a signature Nopa Fish bite: McFarland Springs trout with pickled beet hummus, horseradish crème fraîche, and crispy potato latke. Proof that thoughtful sourcing and incredible flavor belong on the same plate.

Also and the will be onsite with tables, resources, and conversations about sustainable food systems, local seafood, and how restaurants and consumers can help support healthier ocean habitats.

A very good foodie night by the Bay.

We zoom out today to recognize our international friends who helped bring Ocean Photographer of the Year to our small–but mighty–island community for its U.S. Premiere exhibition. We extended a hand across the ocean to create a partnership with Oceanographic Magazine (a British company) and Blancpain (Swiss watchmakers) who curate this annual search for the best marine photography in the world.

It's not amazing art for art's sake. "It's a reminder of why our oceans matter so deeply," as Eleanor Kiloh, British Consulate General San Francisco, so eloquently put it. In fact, we'll just drop their video here so you can see what this event represents to them...

Meanwhile, get your tickets today! The exhibition closes May 17. Reserve your spot: WestEndArtsDistrict.org
