Good Day to all our veterans and thank you for your service !!
Due to our service officers attending national training classes staffing is limited ! We are still open for business at 8:00am everyday this week but will be closed for lunch from 12:00pm till 1:00pm and then reopen for claims processing from 1:00pm till 3:30pm. The financial assistance department will operate from 8:00am till 12:00pm . Thank you for your understanding this week and please come in for service during these hours !

The Summit County Veteran's Service Commission will have services limited to only the financial assistance department on Thursday March 5, 2026 from 1:00pm till 4:00pm and on Friday March 6, 2026 from 8:00am till 4:00pm.
The Service Department will be in Columbus for continuance of education and training.
All services will resume to full operation and staffing on Monday March 9, 2026 @ 8:00am

Did you know the VSC welcomes walk-ins? We are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at our Akron office at 1060 E. Waterloo Rd. If you're looking to file a VA claim or file for financial assistance, you need to arrive before 2:30 p.m.

Today is Presidents' Day! The Summit County VSC office will be closed today in recognition of the holiday.

The VSC is closed so employees may celebrate with their families.
