APPEND Board Retreat 2026
A meaningful time to pause, reflect, reconnect, and grow together.

From moments of spiritual reflection and inspiring messages, to meaningful discussions on how APPEND can better support its member organizations, the retreat gave us space to listen, share ideas, and strengthen our shared commitment.

And of course, no retreat is complete without a little dancing, laughter, ice breakers, and fun!

More than a retreat, it was a reminder that when we come together—with faith, purpose, and genuine connection—we become stronger as a network.

We are also truly grateful and honored to celebrate this special milestone with TSKI as they mark their 40th Anniversary!

✨ 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗚𝗔𝗖) ✨

A meaningful first day of learning, conversations, and collaboration at the 3rd Gender Advocates Conference (GAC), held on September 10-11, 2026, at Novotel Manila Araneta City. With the theme “Advancing Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) in the Microfinance Sector,” the conference brought together advocates and partners committed to creating a more inclusive and equitable microfinance sector.

This initiative is part of the Together for Good Project, a collaboration between Good Return and our local partner, Append Inc., with support from Investing in Women, an initiative of the Australian government. The conference is joined by partner Microfinance Institutions (MFIs)—ASKI Group, ECLOF, KMBI, TSKI, and TSPI—who came together to share insights, strengthen partnerships, and champion meaningful change.

Gender equality also means making space for everyone to care, contribute, and be included. 💜

In this vlog, our very own Community of Practice Lead, Cata, and her husband share a glimpse of their family’s journey—of sharing the responsibilities of parenting and caregiving including raising their child with autism together.

Dahil ang pagiging magulang ay partnership. Walang “trabaho ng nanay” o “trabaho ng tatay” pagdating sa pag-aalaga sa mga anak. Kapag nagtutulungan, mas nagiging magaan ang responsibilidad at mas nararamdaman ng mga bata na sila ay suportado at minamahal. 🏡

Palakihin natin ang henerasyong hindi nagtatanong, “Sino dapat ang gumawa?” kundi nagsasabing: “Tara, gawin natin together!” 🤝

Walang gawaing-bahay na para lang sa babae o lalaki. Kapag tinuturuan natin ang mga bata na magbahagi ng gawain, tinuturuan din natin sila ng respeto, teamwork, responsibilidad, at equality.

Ang responsibilidad at pagkalinga sa tahanan ay gawain ng bawat isa.

Walang gawain na para lamang sa babae, o para lamang sa lalaki.

Tara, samahan natin ang isa sa ating mga kasama na naniniwala at isinasabuhay ang kasabihan na ang gawaing bahay at pagkalinga ay responsibilidad ng bawat isa💜

Dahil ang pagkakapantay-pantay ay nagsisimula sa atin—sa tahanan, sa trabaho, at sa pang araw araw nating pamumuhay. 🏡💼🌏

Mas maraming pangarap ang nagiging posible kapag nagtutulungan ang pamilya. 🌟

Ang pagiging breadwinner ay may kasamang responsibilidad at sakripisyong hindi laging nakikita. Sa kabila ng pagod at pressure, maraming breadwinner ang patuloy na nagsisikap upang matugunan ang pangangailangan ng kanilang pamilya at mabigyan sila ng mas magandang kinabukasan.

Ang kuwento ni Ms. Dale Avila ay isang paalala na mahalaga ang pagkakaroon ng suporta sa tahanan. Ang pagtutulungan ng pamilya ay nagbibigay ng pagkakataon sa kababaihan na umunlad sa kanilang karera, maabot ang kanilang mga pangarap, at maging katuwang sa pagbuo ng mas matatag na kinabukasan para sa pamilya.
