✨ It’s a wrap for Pre-Congress 2026! 🎉

Day 2 brought us deeper into the Congress journey, highlighting the difference between proposals and resolutions, walking through the Proposal Café, and reviewing the resolutions from Congress 2023–2024.

With Pre-Congress complete, we now set our sights on the 6th Chiro Congress in 2027. 🚀

A journey of faith begins ✝️

Introducing our Taizé Delegates, Ldr. Shanen Ducabo from Chiro Las Pinas and Ldr. Lorraine Oya-An of Chiro SLU.

For the next three months, they will be part of the Taizé Community in France joining thousands of young people from around the world in a journey of prayer, service, simplicity, and encountering God across cultures.

Before they embark on this meaningful journey, we invite everyone to join us for their Send-off Mass on July 9, 6:00 PM, at the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of St. Joseph Las Piñas.

Let us send them off with our prayers and support as they carry the spirit of our community throughout this beautiful experience! 🇫🇷

💁🏽‍♀️ Pre-Congress 2026: Day 1 Session Highlights 💅🏽

We spent our first Pre-Congress session diving deep into the structures that keep Chiro Pilipinas strong, sustainable, and mission-driven. Here is a snapshot of what we covered:

📍 What is the Chiro Congress?

Ldr Badette reminded us that this is our highest decision-making body, a place where local groups collectively shape the future, just as we have since 1996.

🗳️ Voting Rights & Eligibility

Ldr Itchel and Ldr Olan emphasized that voting is a collective exercise. It’s strictly for active groups—those with consistent Sunday gatherings and settled solidarity shares—to ensure every decision is informed and committed.

📜 Rules of Procedure (ROP)

Ldr Shaira walked us through the ROP as our "operating manual." It provides the procedural clarity we need, with clear thresholds for motions (50%+1) and amendments (2/3 supermajority).

💰 Financial Report

Ldr Lois and Ldr Elijah shared our path toward sustainability. We are moving from ad-hoc reimbursements to a 3-year strategic plan, prioritizing financial literacy and long-term resilience.

The work doesn’t stop here, every decision we make brings us one step closer to our aim of bringing youth closer to Christ.

History in the making! Today, we held our first-ever Pre-Congress Day 1. We discussed the foundations of the Chiro Congress, set the standard for our voting and procedures, and committed to a transparent financial future.
