With deep appreciation, we recognize and thank our outgoing Trustee, Rain Villagonzalo, for her years of leadership, commitment, and service to the Society of Trans Women of the Philippines (STRAP). ✨🏳️‍⚧️

From her time as Executive Director to her role on the Board of Trustees, she has consistently brought strategic direction, institutional memory, and a steadfast dedication to advancing the rights and welfare of transpinays. Her contributions have helped shape STRAP into the organization it is today, strengthening both our internal systems and our external impact.

As she transitions from this role, we honor her legacy and the foundation she leaves behind. We remain grateful for her leadership and look forward to building on the work she has championed.

STRAP IN FOCUS 🏳️‍⚧️ | Abril 2026

Ang STRAP IN FOCUS ay ating buwanang tampok na nagbibigay-pansin sa mga kababaihan ng Society of Trans Women of the Philippines (STRAP), pinapakilala nito ang kahusayan ng mga transpinay na patuloy na humuhubog at nangunguna sa iba’t ibang larangan, habang ipinapaabot sa publiko ang lawak ng kakayahan at ambag ng isang transpinay.

Sa buwang ito, tampok natin si Serena Magiliw—isang transfeminist storyteller na gumagamit ng sining at pagtatanghal upang hamunin ang dominanteng naratibo at bigyang espasyo ang mga tinig ng TNB+.

Ang kanyang gawain ay hindi lang sining, ito ay aktibong pakikibaka para sa mas inklusibo at makatarungang lipunan. ✊🏼

Sa STRAP, ipinagdiriwang natin ang mga transpinay na patuloy na nagtatakda ng direksyon at nagdudulot ng pagbabago mula lokal hanggang global. ✨

Trigger Warning: Violence, Death

We are deeply alarmed and heartbroken by the killing of Cindy Ballaho, 34, in Zamboanga City.

Based on initial information, she is understood to be part of the le***an community. At a time meant to uplift and celebrate Le***an Visibility Week, it is deeply painful to receive news like this—reminding us of the persistent risks faced by many in our community.

We call for a thorough and immediate investigation, and demand justice and full accountability for this brutal crime. No one should be subjected to such violence, and no case should be left unanswered.

The Society of Trans Women of the Philippines (STRAP) stands in solidarity with Cindy’s loved ones and with the broader LGBTQIA+ community in Zamboanga City and beyond. We remain committed to advancing safety, dignity, and protection for all.
