The words, “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him?” remind us that forgiveness is not always easy. As a community, there are times when we hurt one another through our words or actions. Sometimes, we may feel tired of forgiving, especially when the same mistakes happen again.

But Jesus teaches us not to count how many times we forgive. Instead, we are called to have a patient and understanding heart. Forgiving does not mean that what happened was right. It means that we choose to let go of anger and resentment so that we can continue to live together in peace.

We also remember how many times God forgives us whenever we make mistakes. If God continues to show us mercy and patience, then we should also learn to show mercy and patience to our brothers. With God’s help, may our community become a place where we learn to forgive, understand one another, and choose love and unity despite our differences.

Today, as we celebrate the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we also joyfully commemorate the Foundation of CFIC.

On this day in 1857, Blessed Luigi Maria Monti founded the Congregation of the Sons of the Immaculate Conception (CFIC) in Rome, three years after the proclamation of the Dogma of the Immaculate Conception by Pope Pius IX in 1854 through the Apostolic Constitution Ineffabilis Deus.

The CFIC is a religious congregation of Brothers and Priests who dedicate themselves to the care of the sick, the abandoned, and needy youth, as well as to the education and formation of orphaned children and young people.

For 169 years, the CFIC has continued its mission and presence in 27 countries across different parts of the world, including the Philippines, where it serves under the East Asian Delegation.

As we celebrate this 169th Foundation Anniversary, we give thanks to God for the gift of our Founder, Blessed Luigi Maria Monti, and for the continued grace and guidance that have sustained the Congregation throughout the years. May we remain faithful to our charism and mission, following the example of our Founder and placing ourselves at the service of those most in need.

God entrusts us with real responsibility our choices to forgive, to correct with love, and to welcome others actually matter in His Kingdom. When we “loose” people by choosing mercy and reconciliation here on earth, heaven affirms that freedom.

So today, let us use that authority carefully to bind ourselves to truth and to loose others from bitterness, knowing Jesus walks with us in every decision. Let us help our brothers and sisters to become holy as we show our good example to them.

Maraming Salamat at God Bless us all!

When we hear these words of Jesus, we may think that following Him means giving up many things. But “denying ourselves” does not mean hating ourselves or rejecting the good desires we have. Rather, it means letting go of our ego our selfishness, pride, self-centeredness, and the desire to always put ourselves first.
Every day, we all have our own “crosses”: difficulties, people who hurt us, and situations that do not go the way we want. Following Jesus does not mean running away from these things, but learning to accept them with faith and love.

Sometimes, denying ourselves simply means choosing to remain silent instead of arguing, forgiving instead of holding a grudge, giving instead of thinking only about ourselves, and serving instead of waiting to be served.

Most importantly, Jesus does not simply tell us to “deny ourselves,” but to “follow Me.” We let go of our ego so that we can follow Him, become more like Him, and love as He loves. When we learn to entrust our lives to God, we do not lose ourselves. Instead, we discover the true meaning and purpose of our lives.

Jesus asked His disciples, “Who do you say that I am?” He wasn’t asking for the opinion of the crowd. He was asking for a personal answer from them — and from us.

Today, He asks us the same question. It is easy to know what others say about Jesus. But our faith cannot be borrowed. Like Peter, may we also say with conviction: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And may our lives show it — by trusting Him, following Him, and building our lives on Him.
Lord Jesus, open our hearts to know You more. Help us to live out this confession every day. Amen.

Have a blessed Sunday, everyone! 🙏

In today’s Gospel, we hear the story of the Canaanite woman who never gave up asking Jesus for help. Even when she seemed to receive no answer, she continued to trust and call upon Him. Her faith was so sincere and persistent that Jesus said, “O woman, great is your faith!”

There are moments in our lives when we pray and feel that God is silent. We may become tired, discouraged, or wonder if He is listening. But the Canaanite woman reminds us to keep trusting and never lose hope. May we have the courage to continue praying, knowing that Jesus sees our hearts and never ignores our cries. Blessed Sunday to all!

“𝑇𝑎𝑘𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑎𝑔𝑒, 𝑖𝑡 𝑖𝑠 𝐼; 𝑑𝑜 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑏𝑒 𝑎𝑓𝑟𝑎𝑖𝑑.”

This line really speaks to us because there are many moments when we become afraid of things that we cannot control. Sometimes we worry too much about what might happen tomorrow, about the decisions we need to make, or about situations that we cannot change. There are also times when we feel tired and confused, and we do not know what to do next.

This Gospel reminds us that we do not have to face everything with fear. Jesus knows what we are going through, even when we do not say it to anyone. His words, “Do not be afraid,” give us the courage to continue, even when we are not sure of what lies ahead.

We also realize that sometimes we are like Peter. We start with confidence, but when problems come, we begin to doubt and lose our focus. We look more at our problems than at Jesus. But when we feel like we are sinking, we can still call out to Him. We know that He will not ignore us.

For us, trusting Jesus means learning to let go of some of our worries and believing that we do not have to understand everything right away. We may still be afraid, but we want to learn to move forward with faith.

Whenever we feel worried or uncertain, we want to remember these words: “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.” They remind us that whatever we may face, we are not alone.

(St. John Mary Vianney Sunday)

"𝐻𝑖𝑠 ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑡 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑚𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑑 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑝𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑚."

This is what Jesus felt for the thousands in the deserted place, where He performed a miracle by multiplying the loaves and fish. He saw people who were hungry, tired, and lost like sheep without a shepherd, and He couldn't just walk away. That same heart is still here today. Jesus sees us in our own empty places and doesn't leave us unfed. And He calls us to do the same: to notice people, to have pity, and to share whatever little we have, trusting that He will multiply it. And as we remember St. John Mary Vianney this Sunday, we ask for his intercession that many may be willing to listen to the voice of God and answer "yes" to His call to the priesthood or religious life.

Have a Blissful Sunday Everyone!

Yet Jesus reminds us that there is one treasure worth more than all of these: He Himself and the Kingdom of Heaven.

The merchant in the parable was willing to sell everything he owned to obtain the pearl of great price. His example invites each of us to ask: What is the greatest treasure in my life? Are we willing to put Christ above our ambitions, our comfort, and the things we cling to?

When we choose Christ as our highest priority, we may have to let go of many things. Yet what we receive is far greater: true joy, lasting peace, and the meaning of a life lived with God.

Lord, help us always recognize You as the Pearl of Great Price and give us the courage to choose You every day.
