UAP National Architecture Week

UAP is the Integrated and Accredited Professional Organization of Architects (IAPOA) in the Philippines with more than 50,000 members or 100% of the total registered architects in the country. Since its registration as the first ever professional organization to be accredited by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on May 12, 1975, it has received many awards including the highly-acclaimed

PRC's Most Outstanding Accredited Professional Organization, in the years 2002, 2007, 2008, 2011, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. The National Architecture Week (NAW) is an annual event that is observed in the country every second week of December in accordance with the Presidential Proclamation No. 934, Series of 1971, which aims to draw public attention to the architect's invaluable contributions towards planned growth, environmental planning, and overall social progress. This year's celebration of the National Architecture Week is envisioned to make real connections to the general public whilst stressing the true value of the architect and its God-given talent and skill of "foresight". Future Forward NAW (to be read as Future Forward Now) implies that despite all the uncertainties that we are currently facing, architects do not fret for we are trained to look into something and see strengths and opportunities. Architects are ready! We are ready for the future, now! This week-long event will be a combination of limited face-to-face activities, webinars, documentaries, nationwide simultaneous tree planting, exhibits and competitions. In addition, to the actual week of celebration happening on December 6-11, 2021, a couple of pre-event activities will be hosted beginning November 3, 2021. So stay tuned for more information!
