Graduation Season 2026 in a few days at University of Santo Tomas and we have alumni who have started walking down memory lane.

Dr. Lilybeth Lorenzo of BS Biology, Class of 1985 for visiting our dear alma mater today.

Dr. Mildred Mariano is very active Thomasian alumna and is the current President of Tomasino Kapampangan Alumni Association while Dr. Lilybeth practises her medical profession in Texas, USA.

Flashback Friday...

In 1994 and until now, we are always proud to call Charlene Gonzales-Mulach our fellow not only because of her beauty but more because of the beauty of her heart. UST Galing Science Alumni Association has been witness to her and her family's kindness --- from her mother (who is also a Thomasian) to her children.

Charlene Gonzales-Muhlach is TOAST 2019 Awardee for Performing Arts and is part of BS Psychology, Class of 2001.

Pag-amin ni Charlene Gonzales-Muhlach na hindi alam ng Bb.Pilipinas Inc. na pinahiram ni Gonzales ng hikaw ang pambato ng India noong Miss Universe 1994 finals night na ginanap sa Pasay.

Nang makita ni Gonzales na natataranta na si India dahil wala na itong maisuot na hikaw, hinila n'ya ito sa kanyang silid at binalandra ang 50 pcs na uri ng mga hikaw na pinahiram sa kanya ng Bb. Pilipinas, pinapili n'ya si Sushmita Sen sa gusto n'yang style na bagay sa kanyang gown.

Sinong mag-aakala na ang hikaw na 1,750 pesos lamang ang halaga ay magiging bahagi ng kasaysayan, nang manalo na nga si Sen, bumalik ito sa kwarto ni Gonzales at sinasauli ang hikaw, tawang-tawa si Charlene sa tagpong iyon na parang sinabi n'ya "Ano ka ba, sa'yo na 'yan girl!" dagdag ni Gonzales, i-uwi n'ya na ito bilang regalo mula sa Pilipinas.

"Pasensya na Madam Stella ngayon ko lang sinabi na pinamigay ko 'yung pinahiram n'yo sa'kin." Sabay tawa ni Gonzales sa isang panayam. Ginanap ang Miss Universe noong ika-7 ng umaga, May 21, 1994.

Throwback Thursday as we welcome the graduation season in a few weeks.

After Charlene Gonzales-Mulach, there were a few celebrity children who also completed their college degree in our alma mater, the UST College of Science. One of them is Rafael Cojuangco Jaworski, son of the 1990s showbiz actress & host and 2002 Asian Games gold medalist equestrian Mikaela "Mikee" Cojuangco and grandson of PBA legend Robert "Sonny" Jaworski, Sr. and Margarita "Tingting" Cojuangco, who is also a Thomasian.

Rafael is a BS Microbiology alumnus from Class of 2024.

The Scientific Career System (SCS), in collaboration with DOST-Bicol, will conduct an 𝗦𝗖𝗦 𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: "𝗕𝗲 𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁!" on 24 June 2026 via Zoom.
