While reading so many comments, messages and posts coming from our partner PLHIV individuals and organizations about ARV stock outs and shortage it made me curious and my mind started on asking .......Why doesn't the Philippine government explore local manufacturing, technology transfer, or partnerships with domestic pharmaceutical companies to strengthen our medicine security and reduce our dependence on imported ARV's? I think this will be more effective if our government will diversify procurement sources to reduce the risk of stock-outs and should improve their procurement planning and their supply chain management or even the policies on procurement that affects distribution and availability of meds should be addressed. And hopefully our government must allow meaningful engagement of the PLHIV Community in procurement oversight and decision making to avoid these issues.
Recurring ARV stock-outs are not just procurement issues—they are failures that put the lives and health of people living with HIV at risk. Access to treatment is a fundamental human right, not a privilege.

To our partners, PLHIV communities, this is the moment to stand together. Let us raise our voices, let us demand accountability, and push for a health system that guarantees uninterrupted access to life-saving treatment.

ENOUGH FOR EXCUSES. ENOUGH on STOCK-OUTS. Every delayed delivery, every missed dose, and every treatment interruption puts lives at risk. WE DESERVE BETTER, and WE MUST DEMAND BETTER.

Back-to-back consultations and workshops were attended by Yda De Guia, a VSR member endorsed by DAWAW MAII as one of the technical representatives to participate in the post-workshop for the Philippine National AIDS Council Global AIDS Monitoring Report 2026, conducted on March 16–19, 2026, at Century Hotel.

As part of the workshop, VSR submitted and shared the International Planned Parenthood Federation Year 1 report with PNAC to demonstrate that VSR successfully implemented a project that reached street-based s*x workers. This was highlighted because this population was notably absent from PNAC’s presentation as a target population, largely due to the challenges in reaching street-based female s*x workers, particularly because their working hours often do not align with the schedules of government employees, in addition to this during the implementation of the Global Fund Round cycle 7 they focus on Men who have s*x with men and Transgender women.

Afterwards VSR's President Riri L. Guinto attended the PNAC Consultation and Writeshop on the Development of the 2025 PNAC Annual Report 2025 wherein she also presented the numbers of S*xworkers reached through the IPPF PROJECT segregated by age, gender and access of service.
