The Delta Sigma was derived from a scripture in a magazine which was incidentally seen by Rolly King. While the word Family was added because all the members of the Fraternity treated each like a family. Courtship between members was prohibited. The key position in the brotherhood was derived from chess piece. The king symbolizes the highest and very important position, hence the name Rolly King (Pres)Meanwhile, this turn of events paved way for the rebuilding of the brotherhood in Philippine College of Criminology. Emmanuel “Emy” Torres, a member of the Crime Buster from PCCr was then in relationship with a Deltan sister from University of the East. So on September 7, 1977 , the following Brothers were recruited to create the founding of the Delta Sigma Family Fraternity Con Sorority. Hence as follows :

Unfortunately, the Delta Sigma Family Slowly weakened at the University of the East. Having no solid foundation, lacking in strength, and no constitutional by laws. With this weakining, Rolly king transferred the leadership to Brother Arambulo, and then passed it to brother Benjie Villar. Unfortunately, Brod Sopronio Garcia (PCCr) decided to leave the Delta Sigma and transferred the leadership to his Vice President, Brod. W***y Cuartero , in 1979
In order not to repeat the fate that befell brotherhood in University of the East and to strengthen the current brotherhood, brods. Their desire to build a strong fraternity led to the recruitment of members.(Rolando san antonio lopez, Wilfredo Cubero Cuartero, Rolando Dacara Tolentino, & Carmelita Casimiro)
History of Delta Sigma Fraternity con Sorority Delta Sigma Fraternity was founded by a twenty-year old student from the university of the East Recto Manila Campus, named "Rolly King". Students from different courses like Accounting and Business Management joined the fraternity. Rolly King was a graduate of Perfector High School in Tondo, Manila. He lived in Perfecto St. near the Iglesia ni Kristo Church in Moriones Manila. The world "Family", came from the song "We Are Family", which has been sung by the brods whenever they meet, whether they talk about their own problems or have fun. Because of this, the word Family has become a usual term for the brods. Due to this, the word Family has been accustomed to the members and whenever other people see them together, they often say, "There goes THE FAMILY" singing the song. But for the group the word Family signifies a lot of things - being united as one family. During this time Noel M. Cabuhat "NOMCA" was a new recruit. Since then, Noel M. Cabuhat has been actively involved in DSF and he was voted to a significant position and serving for the benefit of the Family. The DSF family continued to grow even stronger in PCCR and spread its influence in other universities and colleges -- Manuel L. Quezon University, the University of Manila, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Far Eastern University and other nearby colleges. Cabuhat became the secret president of DSF PCCR Mother Chapter in 1981 2nd Semester -- 1983, the family grew to more than 300 members in PCCR and expanded in different high schools and grew stronger in other universities and colleges in the Metro Manila area.
