💚 A Mother's Hope

At the 2026 World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) World Congress, Ms. Alice Guipon saw how prophylaxis has become a reality in many countries—giving people with hemophilia the opportunity to live healthier, more active lives.

As a mother of three persons with hemophilia, that experience strengthened her hope that Filipino families will one day have the same opportunity.

In this short video, Alice shares a heartfelt message—and a vision we continue to work toward: access to prophylaxis through the PhilHealth Hemophilia Treatment Package.

Every voice matters. Every story strengthens our advocacy.

💚 Strengths Within

Marlon: Patience. Perseverance. Endurance.

For Marlon, these are the strengths that help him face life's challenges. But perhaps his greatest realization is this:

"Hindi pala ako nag-iisa."

Through the HAPLOS Community, he found people who understand, support, and walk alongside one another—because no one should face hemophilia alone.

📢 IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR THE HEMOPHILIA COMMUNITY 💙

We are pleased to share an important development in our continuing advocacy for better access to hemophilia treatment in the Philippines.

We have received an update that the Department of Health (DOH) has approved the inclusion in the Philippine National Formulary (PNF) of plasma-derived Coagulation Factor VIII for the prophylaxis (prevention) and treatment of bleeding episodes in Hemophilia A, in the following strengths:

• 250 IU/10 mL (25 IU/mL)
• 250 IU/5 mL (50 IU/mL)
• 500 IU/10 mL (50 IU/mL)
• 500 IU/5 mL (100 IU/mL)
• 1,000 IU/10 mL (100 IU/mL)

Powder for solution for intravenous administration

This is an important development for the hemophilia community and addresses one of the issues HAPLOS has consistently raised—the need for appropriate Factor VIII dosage strengths and indications for the prevention and treatment of bleeding in Hemophilia A.

HAPLOS will continue to advocate for broader access to appropriate treatment options for people with hemophilia.

We look forward to the official publication of the updated PNF information and will share further details with our community as they become available.

💙 Every step toward improved access to appropriate treatment brings us closer to better care for people with hemophilia in the Philippines.

💚💙**Save One Life Sponsorship Program Distribution 2026**

On July 18, 2026, HAPLOS welcomed young adults supported through the Save One Life Sponsorship Program, together with their families, at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital for the distribution of sponsorship support.

Through the program, individual sponsors provide continuing assistance to persons with bleeding disorders from 7 to 25 years old whom they have chosen to support. Currently, 20 members of the HAPLOS Community participate in the program. Eighteen beneficiaries and their representatives attended, while two were unable to join.

Some participants traveled from distant areas, and HAPLOS provided meals for everyone during the event.

Our sincere thanks to **Save One Life** and to the individual sponsors for their generosity and continued support. More than financial assistance, the program creates meaningful connections and reminds these young people that a wider community cares about their well-being and believes in their future.

We are also grateful to the University of Santo Tomas Hospital for providing AVR 1 at the St. John Paul II Building free of charge.

Thank you to all the beneficiaries, families, and HAPLOS volunteers who joined us and helped make the event possible. 💚💙
