This 𝕸𝖔𝖙𝖍𝖊𝖗’𝖘 𝕯𝖆𝖞, we celebrate and honor all women whose lives reflect the beauty of unconditional love, compassion, and selfless service. Motherhood is defined not only by blood, but by every sacrifice made, every hand extended, every tear wiped away, and every heart nurtured with kindness.

​Today, we express our deepest gratitude to all mothers, the biological mothers, foster mothers, adoptive mothers, and everyone who has been a mother in her special way. We offer a special tribute to the Sisters and House Mothers of Hospicio de San Jose and other Child Caring Agencies (CCAs) who lovingly embrace the role of a mother through their sacred mission and vocation.

​Inspired by the example of our Blessed Mother Mary and St. Louise de Marillac—who was herself a devoted and loving mother—we pray that all mothers continue to nurture and love the children entrusted to their care.

Through your dedication and gentle presence, you become a source of comfort, strength, and hope. ​In your quiet sacrifices, we witness a love that heals, uplifts, and transforms lives. Thank you for reminding the world that the heart of a mother knows no limits.

Today, we walk together—not only on this path, but in compassion, service, and hope. Every hand that guides, every wheelchair pushed, and every smile shared remind us that no one walks alone in this journey of life.

Inspired by 𝓢𝓪𝓲𝓷𝓽 𝓛𝓸𝓾𝓲𝓼𝓮 𝓭𝓮 𝓜𝓪𝓻𝓲𝓵𝓵𝓪𝓬—𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀—who, together with Vincent de Paul, devoted their lives to serving the poor, the sick, and the forgotten, we are reminded that every act of kindness becomes a reflection of God’s love in the world.

Hospicio de San Jose family joins the nation in mourning the passing of our dear friend and benefactor, Dr. Dante Ang Sr., Chairman Emeritus of The Manila Times.

More than a leader in media, Sir Ang was a man of profound compassion. For years, his noble care and quiet generosity have touched the lives of our residents, providing not just support, but hope, especially for the children under our care. We are deeply moved that in his final journey, his family has requested that his legacy be honored through continued support for our mission.

We offer our prayers for the eternal repose of his soul and for the comfort of the Ang family. Thank you, Sir Ang, for your lifelong kindness to Hospicio de San Jose. You will be missed, but your legacy of service lives on in every life you helped transform.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of The Manila Times Chairman Emeritus DANTE AREVALO ANG, DBA — a father, journalist, publisher and public servant whose life was defined by purpose, vision and integrity.

The wake begins on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, 10 a.m. onwards at Tanguile Chapel, 2nd Floor, Manila Memorial Park-Sucat, Dr. Santos Avenue, Barangay BF Homes, Parañaque City.

The funeral Mass will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026, at The Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Saint Joseph, Bamboo Organ Church, 1742 Quirino Avenue, Las Piñas City.

We will be celebrating the 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭. 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐡 on March 19, 2026. In preparation for this celebration, we will hold 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 from 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 10, 2026 (𝙏𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙙𝙖𝙮) 𝙩𝙤 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 19, 2026 (𝙏𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙙𝙖𝙮) at 𝟔:𝟎𝟎 in the evening.

Spearheaded by the Child and Youth Welfare and Development Program (CYWDP), Hospicio de San Jose joyfully opened the celebration of the 𝟑𝟑𝒓𝒅 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒏’𝒔 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒉 with the theme: “𝗢𝗦𝗔𝗘𝗖-𝗖𝗦𝗔𝗘𝗠 𝗪𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻: 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮❟ 𝗜𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗻!” on November 8, 2025.

The celebration began with a morning Mass, followed by a colorful and cheerful Advocacy and Fun Parade. The Opening Ceremonies formally launched the event, featuring the Panatang Makabata, beautifully led by two children and recited by all, reaffirming a shared commitment to uphold every child’s rights.

Spirits soared as the energizer brought joy and movement to participants, and a heartfelt message from Mr. Rizaldy Daen, SSD Head, inspired action and reflection. The program continued with interactive games, creative booth activities, and an advocacy hand paint campaign, “We Support National Children’s Month.” The day concluded with a cozy Movie Night and Pajama Party — a perfect blend of learning, laughter, and celebration.
