Before St. La Salle Hall became the iconic landmark it is today, a real estero—𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝘁𝘂𝗯𝗶𝗴—ran right through campus, complete with its own rustic footbridge!

For generations of Lasallians, that historical waterway felt a little too real every time typhoon season rolled in. 🌊

🏹 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿

For the first few decades, our varsity teams were simply known as the "𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻-𝗮𝗻𝗱-𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲." It wasn't until 1940 that the "Green Archer" identity was truly born. During the NCAA games that year, our student publication featured the iconic archer symbol for the first time. The image of the archer—disciplined, precise, and always hitting the mark—instantly resonated with the Lasallian spirit and became our permanent moniker.

Over 85 years later, that same spirit still drives us in everything we do.

𝗔 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗳𝘁. 🟩✨

Long before Taft Avenue became synonymous with the green and white, DLSU was established in Paco, Manila, in 1911.
As the student population grew, the Brothers knew it was time to expand. On September 24, 1921, a procession of 425 students and teachers made the historic trek, walking from the old Paco campus to our current, iconic location in Malate.

We’ve come a long way from those first 125 students on Nozaleda Street, but the Lasallian spirit remains exactly the same. 🎒🙌

Once a Lasallian, always a Lasallian.
